Gardening With The Devas

Spring is just around the corner and a lot of our attention now turns to gardening and working outdoors. We see everything turning green and it feels good to be outside after being indoors all winter. Spring is the time of year when nature turns playful. The wind is blowing and the first of the early flowers are bursting forth. Tulips, daffodils, crocuses and anemoes and are just some of the myriad of spring bulbs starting to bloom. As all of nature is dancing in the wind, we yearn more and more to go and work outdoors again. Now is the time to start planting flowers, trees and shrubs. The arrival of spring signals all of nature to give thanks and start fresh again.
While working in our garden we need to remember "mother nature". Nature is comprised of a very elaborate devic kingdom. Pan, the nature spirits and all of the devas are waiting for us to call upon them to assist us in our gardening endeavors. All we have to do is ask the nature spirits to aid us and they quickly come to our assistance.
Have you ever wondered where to plant that new tree or what spot in the garden your favorite flowers would like to grow? Ask the devas for their assistance and you will be amazed at how they will lead you to the exact spot that will be best for that particular plant. I close my eyes and ask and let myself be lead to where I am directed. Ask where and when your vegetables should be planted. Sometimes you will be surprised and amazed at where you are told they want to be planted. They do not always pick the spot that we may have chosen for a plant but they always have a reason. Usually that reason will be made known to us during the growing season. Remember, the nature spirits are very playful. They like variety and fun.
The trees love to be decorated with a wind chime, a bird feeder or some other ornament. The devas love gazing balls, pyramids and other shiny bright objects placed in and around the garden. Again, ask the devas and work with them about where and what they want placed in your garden.
People are always amazed at the number and the lushness of the plants and flowers I keep in my gardens, I always reply by telling them that I am just helping them along and the rest is up to mother nature.
This article is meant to be an introduction to gardening and planting with the nature spirit kingdom. During the spring and summer I will be writing about planting tips and techniques and offering some items for sale that I have found to be very beneficial with the devas. They are both fun and decorative at the same time. Use your imagination.
Devas and nature spirits must be distinguished from each. Devas are the architects while the nature spirits actually do the work of building the plants. The nature spirits are the physical workers who carry out the devas' blueprints. All nature spirits are under the direction of the god Pan. Pan is the ultimate boss and who I call upon often. Each plant has its own nature spirit to take care of it. Think about this, when you go out to your rosebushes next time, just feel nature all around your and get in touch with it.
There are gnomes, sprites, fairies, elves, trolls and elementals to name a few and all of them have a different job to do. By working with the elements of nature your plants will be healthy and beautiful all season long.
The next time you are ready to garden, go outside and stand in the area to be planted. Close your eyes, and ask Pan and the overlighting Deva to assist you and ask them where the best place is to plant a certain plant you have in mind. Be open to their help. They will always aid and assist. Always listen to those gut instincts and little whispers that are trying to communicate with you. It is always amazing how an idea will pop into your head when you least expect it. Always go with your instincts.
Happy Gardening!
