Easy Amaretto Cake
This is a favorite of my family and friends and soooo easy. Of course,
I don't tell them how easy it is!!
| 1 box yellow cake mix |
1/2 c. chopped nuts |
| 1 sm. pkg. instant vanilla pudding |
1/2 amaretto |
| 4 eggs |
1 t. almond extract |
| 1/2 c. oil |
|
| Mix ingredients adding 1/2 cup water. Blend well and pour into greased
and floured tube pan. Bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees, or until toothpick
comes out clean, when inserted into center of cake. |
Amaretto Syrup
| 1 c. sugar |
|
| 2 T. margarine |
|
| 1/2 c. amaretto |
|
Mix ingredients, adding 1/2 cup water. Boil until sugar dissolves. Let
cake cool and remove from pan. Poke holes in top of cake with a toothpick
and pour syrup over the cake, letting it soak into the holes. Refrigerate and serve. Keeps well for several days in refrigerator.
