Drunken Shrimp

24 large shrimp, peeled and deveined (about 2 lbs.) 1 t. dry oregano
2 T. silver tequila 1 t. salt
1 T. olive oil 1 T. paprika
1 T. Worcestershire sauce 1 fresh serrano chile, stemmed and seeded
3 cloves garlic 1/2 cup cilantro leaves


Put shrimp in a nonreactive bowl. Combine all other ingredients in blender and puree until smooth. Pour over shrimp. Toss with a spoon or USE YOUR HANDS to coat shrimp well with marinade. Cover and refrigerate about 1 hour.

Heat large nonreactive skillet over hight heat until very hot. Add shrimp and marinade and cook, tossing, until shrimp all turn bright pink and are cooked through, 1 to 2 minutes.

Remove to large platter and serve immediately. Enjoy!!!!
