AstroForecast September 2006

by Lance Rodriguez

All times Central Time Zone

September begins with the regal Sun transiting the sign of fastidious Virgo.  This is a sign that is meticulous, detail-oriented, organized, health and work conscious as well as discerning, discriminating and discretionary.  Negative expressions of Virgo are criticism, nagging, doubt, browbeating, nervousness, hypochondria, anal-retentiveness and perfectionism to name a few.  Archangel Uriel is the ruler of the month of September and the Virgo angel is Hamaliel.

Friday the 1st is a harmonious contact of Venus with Pluto that symbolizes important investments whether financial or relationship wise.  It will be interesting to note precious metals especially gold and foreign market currencies.  Deep and profound commitments of sharing, merging and bonding can be created.

Saturday the 2nd is the Pre-Shadow Point of the planet Saturn referring to the degree position of this September date is associated with the direct station degree position of Saturn when it stops its retrograde motion next April 19, 2007; these two dates can correspond to one another.  This Pre-Shadow Point of Saturn is located at the Midheaven of Washington DC energizing the United States positively with leadership, responsibility, maturity and organization especially in worldwide affairs; negatively the United States can be perceived as conspiratorial, dictatorial, authoritarian, rigid and inflexible.  Growing disillusionment with the executive and judicial branches of government particularly associated with emerging scandals can weaken these branches effectiveness.  Keywords associated with this degree position of Saturn are: Creative multi-cultural exchanges and healthy ecumenical tolerance and diversity have tremendous potential to lower defensive posturing.  Worldwide movements that address economic disparities and that help to improve Third World economies to enter the 21st century without the heavy ravages of excess polluting industrialization are ripe for development.

Sunday the 3rd two aspects occur with the planet Mercury.  The first one involves and opposition with Uranus that is the definition and clarification period of these two planets with one another since their last conjunction on February 14, 2006; this date in September and the February one can correspond to one another.  Worker dissatisfaction with wages and compensation packages can lead to disillusionment with what is perceived as disenfranchisement.  Too much emphasis on meticulous details can stifle healthy innovation and ingenuity.  Political discouragement develops due to spin-doctors control and management of negative news.

The second aspect involving Mercury is a harmonious contact with Jupiter that symbolizes efforts to embrace multiple perspectives that include the big picture and the little one track well.  This is also good for making plans for travel or actually taking a trip.  Students can develop good study habits with the ability to stick to these regimens.

Monday the 4th at 6:21pm is the station direct of the planet Pluto thus ending its retrograde motion that began late March 2006.  This is a powerful station of Pluto as it makes a contact to the Nodal Axis that on one hand emphasizes health care and prescriptions, the petrochemical industries and disenfranchised members of society.  The negative side can be the emergence of loss of hope and faith for the future that can spiral downward as a depression whether economic or for the mood of the country.  Positive developments can be that new leaders are appearing who are strong, confident and resourceful particularly women.  Leaders who are truly mediators can be quite successful.  Extremist factions and viewpoints dwindle and atrophy.  On the personal side individuals who are ready to bite the bullet with budgets and thus become more diligent and thrifty will be successful over the long haul.  Keywords associated with this station of Pluto are: The vast can at times seem so intimidating and unrealizable.  An echo reverberates through this vastness.  It is the Divine calling each of us to create our destiny.  The Divine Call is Fate; the human response is the destiny.  Step into your time!

The Astro*Carto*Graphy Map of this Pluto station sensitizes the following Unites States locations: Barrow, Nome and Juneau Alaska, Hawaii, Portland Maine, Boston and Cape Cod Massachusetts, Panama City and the Panhandle of Florida, Dothan and Phenix City Alabama, Columbia and Atlanta Georgia, Knoxville and eastern Tennessee, Lexington and eastern Kentucky, Columbus and mid Ohio, Port Arthur, Beaumont, Houston and East Texas, Natchitoches, Ruston and Shreveport Louisiana, Little Rock Arkansas, Jefferson City and St. Louis Missouri, Bloomington, Peoria, Rockford and Springfield Illinois, Green Bay, Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin, Marquette and the Upper Peninsula Michigan, Helena and Butte Montana, Idaho Falls and Pocatello Idaho, Salt Lake City Utah, Prescott, Flagstaff and Phoenix Arizona, San Juan Puerto Rico as well as St. Croix.

Tuesday the 5th is the annual opposition of the Sun with Uranus that is the definition and clarification period of these two heavenly bodies with one another; they were last conjunct one another on March 1, 2006 so this date in September can correspond to the previous March date.  Fathers, celebrities, authority figures, executives and royals can experience shocks and surprises that create turmoil, chaos, upheaval and topsy-turvy situations.  Individuals prone to impulse buying totally derail a precarious budget.  Accidents can happen with storage units, pantries, warehouses, inventories and anything involving water.

Also this same Tuesday is an adjustment aspect between Mercury and Neptune that can challenge people too prone to fuzzy, distorted and escapist thinking.

Wednesday the 6th at 1:15am is the entrance of Venus into Virgo for the following 28-day period.  The health and nutrition industries will have a financial focus during this period of Venus' transit.  Personally, value new health/diet regimens and seek out services that cater to the physical body's need and care.  Massages, acupuncture, Reiki, pedicures, facials and other similar body care services are highlighted with this passage of Venus.  ?Health is not a condition of matter, but of mind, nor can the material senses bear reliable testimony on the subject of health? Mary Baker Eddy.  Resolve budgetary issues by adhering to thriftiness, prudence and bargain hunting.

Also this same Wednesday is a harmonious contact of the Sun with Jupiter that can symbolize healthy identification of work and health regimens that can be promoted as well as strong commitments to follow through with these regimens.  This aspect represents that there is always room for improvement coupled with the sky is the limit regarding opportunities.

Thursday the 7th at 1:42pm is the annual Pisces Full Moon that symbolizes the let go/surrender/completion phase of the Moon.  This lunation is also a Lunar Eclipse that can sensitize a 3 to 6 month time period at the minimum.  The following individuals are impacted the most: those born the middle of Pisces > March 3rd ? 9th, Virgo > September 5th ? 11th, Sagittarius > December 4th ? 10th, and Gemini > June 2nd ? 9th.  Due also to this day?s Perigee Moon this Pisces lunation can be considered a ?Super Full Moon?.  Surrender all issues that perpetuate the martyr/victim syndrome, disillusionment, abandonment/neglect, deception, co-dependencies, the woe-is-me-pity-committee plight and the savior complex.  Atheniel is the associated angel for this lunation.  Political shocks, surprises and propaganda can escalate especially with misinformation/disinformation campaigns.  Terrorism is the whipping poster child as a fear tactic.  Immigration issues can also arise.  Racial discrimination, prejudice and media bias can be rampant.  Sisters, aunts and female spouses are in the limelight.  A powerful and influential force is emerging with perhaps a star over a benevolent politician that is shrewd, incisive and a sort of x-ray vision that cuts through superficiality.  Keywords associated with this Pisces lunation are: Laid out on top of the anvil are the hammered priorities of society.  A mystical quality is attached to this forging of new metal.  Individuals gather together to press for reforms and each individual has a unique gift to offer.  A common objective: we can all work with one another when we all acknowledge our mutual diversity, unity and community.

The A*C*G Map of this Pisces lunar eclipse sensitizes the following locations in the United States: Buffalo New York, Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Asheville North Carolina, western Virginia, Greenville South Carolina, Macon and Albany Georgia, Tallahassee Florida, McAllen, Del Rio, Amarillo, Midland-Odessa, San Angelo, Tyler, El Paso, San Antonio and Houston Texas, Tulsa, Oklahoma City and the panhandle of Oklahoma, Dodge City, Wichita and Kansas City Kansas, Grand Island and western Nebraska, Omaha Iowa, Wounded Knee, Pierre and Sioux Falls South Dakota, Bismarck and Fargo North Dakota, western Minnesota, Helena, Butte and eastern Montana, Cheyenne Wyoming, southeastern Idaho, Pueblo and Denver Colorado, eastern New Mexico, western Utah, western Arizona, northern California, Pendleton and eastern Oregon, as well as Spokane and eastern Washington.

This same Thursday is the Perigee Moon (closest approach of the Moon to Earth) that symbolizes strong intense emotions that can come easily to the conscious surface.  As was previously mentioned in the Pisces Full Moon paragraph this creates a "Super Full Moon" for this lunar eclipse.  Some individuals don't make adjustments and suffer from the syndrome of trying to pound a round peg into a square hole or vice a versa.

Thursday the 7th at 11:18pm Mars enters the sign of Libra for an approximate 45-day journey.  Mars is the planet that symbolizes assertiveness, competition, raw desires, aggressiveness and the can-do attitude.  It now engages the very social, diplomatic and balancing sign of the zodiac.  Positive efforts can bear great harvest as long as there is a will to strike some form of compromise, mediation and common ground in all disputes.  In other words learn to make a win-win situation for all parties involved.  Otherwise this can cause angered enmity that will have countless frustrating repercussions later on down the road.  In ancient astrology Libra and its associated 7th house represented open enemies; open declarations of war can be a potential ready to be ignited by intransigent willful ego positions.

Saturday the 9th is an inharmonious contact of Mercury with Pluto that can symbolize breakdowns in communications due to deep and complex psychological issues that can fester rage, anger, betrayal, resentments, loss of commitments, remorse, jealousy, regrets as well as bitterness.  Siblings and their associated affairs can be highlighted.  Damaging news can involve negative secrecy that impinges on personal freedoms.

President George Bush on this day experiences Secondary Progressed Mars conjunct his natal Moon.  The positive side of this alignment can symbolize initiatives and actions that support a more consensual, diplomatic and tactful approach especially with previous adversaries.  The negative side of this alignment can symbolize a more selfish, bullying and no quarters given approach that damages public relations.  A year and a half before this date and afterwards would apply with this very slow moving contact.

Sunday the 10th is an adjustment aspect involving the Sun with Neptune that can symbolize over idealistic individuals that harbor a utopian vision not making connections to individuals with a more simple, grounded vision.  Certain individuals can also experience health problems hard to diagnose and thus due to misdiagnosis can suffer allergic reactions associated with the unnecessary administration of drugs.

This same Sunday is the declinational shift of Mars that can symbolize actions/inactions with markets (especially steel and iron), the military, police, firefighters, butchers, surgeons, entrepreneurs as well as leaders in general.  Impulsive, impatient, impetuous and volatile behaviors can negatively manifest.  A week before and after this date would be important.

Also this same Sunday is the opposition of Mercury with the North Node that is the clarification and definition of important news, communications, contracts, workers compensations, sales, commerce, learning as well as teaching experiences.  Mercury was conjunct the North Node last April 19, 2006 so these two dates can correspond to one another.

Tuesday the 12th is the entrance of Mercury into the sign of Libra for an approximate 3-week journey.  Mercury trains its analytical eye on bringing greater balance through communications and discussions in all relationships.  Here is a symbolic need for the better informing of one self by being able to listen to both sides of any story.  Any mental decisions will be prolonged as to curry all the necessary data to make an informed decision.  Patience is required to understand this process.  Some individuals may vacillate and want to wait for the proverbial other shoe to drop first before making any decisions.  Maintain your composure and wit with this behavior.  Mercury in Libra is best described by the following Arabic Proverb: "The best of all possible negotiations is the one in which both sides are content".

Also this same Tuesday is the inharmonious contact of Uranus with the US Sibly natal chart Ascendant or rising sign.  As Uranus is currently in retrograde motion this aspect previously occurred last April 1, 2006 and once Uranus is direct in motion will make a final third passage to the Ascendant January 23, 2007; all three of these dates can correspond to one another.  Here is a quote from the April AstroForecast 2006 about this contact: "this inharmonious contact can symbolize that there can be shocking news, surprising twists and turns as well as upheaval associated with news reports, information, communications, negotiations, sales, documents and signatures especially involving anything dealing with the oceans, oil, chemical companies, pharmaceutical companies, Hollywood as well as ports, harbors and bridges.  Due to this planet's slow motion a month before/after can be considered.  Teenagers in general can be very vocal in their protests about human rights, whether involving parents and/or government."

Wednesday the 13th is the declinational shift of Mercury that can symbolize changes in the commodity markets, fashion, negotiations, patents, legal affairs, commerce, education, counseling as well as consultants.

Friday the 15th Mercury is conjunct Mars that can symbolize considerate, balanced and deliberate thought behind every action.  Individuals not embracing this approach suffer from jumping into action without thought and really find themselves in a total pickle.  Intellectually savvy individuals come to the immediate defense of people less than capable of defending themselves.  This is an excellent day to choose an aggressive and assertive attorney for whatever legal matter needs attention.  Due to Mercury?s upcoming retrogradation in late October 2006 Mercury will realign with Mars on November 11, 2006 and December 9, 2006; all three of these dates can correspond to one another.  This is also the ?seeding? period of these two planets with one another.  They will oppose one another on December 22, 2007, which will be their clarification/definition time period.  These three dates in 2006 can correspond to the December 2007 date.

Also this same Friday Mercury and Mars are harmonious to Chiron that can symbolize setting appointments for any healing therapies such as acupuncture, reiki, chiropractic, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, physical therapy, etc.  This alignment is also excellent for initiatives/actions of opening up healthy communications that bring harmony and healing in relationships.  Entrepreneurs ready to work with fresh alternatives act on negotiations that have been stalled and witness breakthroughs that bridge previous gaps.

Saturday the 16th is the opposition of Venus with Uranus that is the definition and clarification period associated with partners? mutual priorities especially with financial affairs that reflect mutual values.  If this approach is not mutual chaos, upheaval, turmoil and topsy-turvy situations can arise particularly if one of the partners has been bogged down with procrastination, indecision and complacency.  One of the partners emerges as the martyr/victim with dysfunctional emotional issues.  Excessive negative criticism begins to undermine the partnership.  Addictive and codependent personality types deepen their depression and despondency.  These two planets were conjunct one another last April 18, 2006; these two dates can correspond to one another.

This same Saturday is an inharmonious contact of the Sun with Pluto that can be quite distressing to fathers, authority figures, executives, celebrities and/or royalty.  Anal-retentive behaviors can be a bane due to excessive perfectionism.  Intolerance, bias, prejudice, hypocrisy and double standard behaviors are raw, insensitive and quite damaging.  Control and manipulation especially through power games, power plays and power ploys are particularly grating.

Sunday the 17th the Sun is conjunct the degree position of the Virgo Lunar Eclipse that happened March 14, 2006; these two dates can correspond to one another.  The Sun's energies are to identify, become more confident and creative, as well as determine what the mission and purpose of life is all about.  Here is a quote from the March AstroForecast 2006 about the Virgo Lunar Eclipse: "Virgo is the zodiac sign that rules the armed forces, civil service and the police.  Powerful court decisions and rulings impact especially women's reproductive rights.  Government health programs undergo intense scrutiny.  Media staff experience life-threatening situations.  Unethical and unprincipled behaviors are scathingly exposed."

Monday the 18th is the opposition of the Sun with the North Node that can symbolize fathers, executives, celebrities, royalty and/or authority figures are meant to define and clarify their mission/purpose associated with spirituality, visions, philanthropy, art as well as universal care.  The Sun was conjunct the North Node last March 24, 2006; these two dates can correspond to one another.  Here is a quote from the March AstroForecast 2006 about what the Sun was focused on: "The following can be emphasized with this alignment: farmlands, wetlands, national security, breaches of commitments and treaties, betrayal issues especially in families, as well as focusing on financial strategies and tactics for future development."

Tuesday the 19th is a harmonious contact of Venus with Jupiter that is excellent especially coupled with earnest efforts to implement a healthier compromising orientation to commitments that can be lasting as well as beneficial for all parties involved.  Individuals who really want to work with a budget to address credits, debits and loans cultivate a more optimistic and positive attitude with great faith that all will end well.

Wednesday the 20th two adjustment aspects occur with the first involving Mercury with Uranus that can symbolize partners? discussions can be thrown off course if overly emotional reactions take over and disrupt all mutual priorities.  Confusion sets in and all hope is lost in regards to healthy resolutions.

The second adjustment aspect involves Venus with Neptune that represents self-critical individuals undermine their own values and sense of self-worth particularly if team priorities are vital to the group?s best interests.  Cruel comments can be witnessed if breakdowns in communications happen.

Thursday the 21st is the opposition of Mars to the Aries Solar Eclipse degree position of March 29, 2006; these two dates can correspond to one another.  Mars is meant to define/clarify all actions and initiatives associated with the Aries Solar Eclipse.  Here is a quote from the March AstroForecast 2006 about this Aries Solar Eclipse: ?The last time we saw this same eclipse degree in the sign of Aries was March 29, 1987.  Those individuals old enough to remember that time period may be able with this current April Solar Eclipse to resolve old issues from then.  Individuals born on the following dates are very sensitized to the energies of this Aries eclipse: March 24th - April 3rd, September 26th - October 6th, June 25th - July 5th, as well as December 25th - January 4th.  Homeland security again comes into focus with a great need to initiate new strategies that can be committed especially involving land travel instead of sea and air.  Breakthroughs can occur with legislative acts involving women's reproductive rights.  Keywords associated with this Aries lunation are: Excitement builds up as new, fresh initiatives wipe away old paradigms that have become stale and outworn.  It is as if the world responds in kind to stimulate new directions.  A new horizon beckons individuals bold, courageous and ready to engage life's healthy competition.

Friday the 22nd at 5:45am is a rare second Virgo New Moon in 2006 that symbolizes the new beginnings/new initiatives phase of the Moon.    Launch new nutritional and exercise programs with this lunation.  Begin a new savings account, get a medical check-up done, get the clutter out of the home (good Feng Shui!), re-organize filing cabinets, sift through those closets and toss out clothing not seen since Moses left Egypt!  Learn how to say an occasional healthy no to attract a yes situation in your life.  Create a workable budget and stick to it.  This lunation?s angel is Ergediel.  This is also a Solar Eclipse that can have an effect a minimum of half a year to a year and a half from this date.  The following birth dates are highly sensitized to this Solar Eclipse: September 19th ? 25th, March 17th ? March 23rd, December 18th ? December 24th, as well as May 17th ? May 24th in that descending order.  This Virgo lunation is associated with the following: spirituality, individuals in convalescent homes, the disenfranchised members of society, personal/collective visions, attorneys, the media, strategies associated with business and bureaucracies, secrecy, espionage, research and development, commitments and/or breaches thereof involving health matters/policies as well as how partners remain focused/balanced with fairness, justice and appropriateness.  Keywords associated with this Virgo New Moon are: Understand that the divine design has included you as a very important participant and that you perfectly fit into this geometry.  Recognize also that your human responsibility is an expression of the immortality of your soul.  When you fit into your groove, then love is the groove in which we move.

Also this Friday is the monthly declinational shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities.  Again due to this Solar Eclipse Virgo New Moon significant emphasis is placed on what was previously written about this lunation.

Friday the 22nd at 11:03pm is the entrance of the regal Sun into the sign of Libra that is the Fall Equinox and Mabon an important pagan holiday.  Angel Torquaret is associated with the Fall Equinox.  Strong identification of Libran themes/issues arises with this passage of the Sun over the next 30 days.  Equality, appropriate behaviors, diplomacy, fairness, equal give and take, partnerships, compromise and mediation are important with the sign of the scales.  Procrastination, indecisiveness, complacency, apathy, indifference, vacillation and passivity are the shadowy side of Libra.  Archangel Uriel is the ruling angel of Libra.

Monday the 25th witnesses an inharmonious aspect between Venus and Pluto that symbolizes negative criticism exchanged in partnerships can cause psychological damage particularly harmful if disempowerment takes place.  Excessive expenditures that compensate for lack of intimacy in partnerships imbalance the relationship with the potential of sourness and bitterness emerging.  Toxic environments cause reactions detrimental to the physical body.
