Astrology Forecast July 2008

July is a month that focuses on our national mass mind and how we fit into this mass mind consciousness as individuals. The national mass mind has to do with politics, authority figures, personal authority and connection to individuation. Your individuation, as Carl Jung stated focuses on the following:

Becoming conscious of the Self.

"Jung called this final step self-realization-We could therefore translate individuation as "coming to selfhood" or "self-realization"(Jung, 1977, p. 173). Jacobi (1973) says "For the conscious personality the birth of the self means a shift in its psychic centre, and consequently an entirely different attitude toward, and view of, life--in other words a 'transformation' in the fullest sense of the word". The Self is often symbolized by a circle or mandala, glyphs which represent completeness. Each step of the individuation process has its dangers that must be avoided, and each has its rewards. He (1978) warns that individuation is an ongoing endless process, and that as it progresses, the chief danger is an inflation of the ego."

Each sign of the zodiac handles the 'individuation' process differently. Pluto is getting ready to leave Sagittarius for good and move into Capricorn. Each of our futures has to do with how we handle our inner authority, our self-concept. Much of this can be seen by the way we have handled the authority figures in our own families and then internalized that acceptance or resistance into our own personalities and egos. The 'Soul' of Self is the focus in our lives, setting forth a plan into which the soul will evolve. We may choose to be healers, metaphysicians, therapists, helpers or intuitive beings as our spiritual plights; the choice of the direction our lives will take is our own. No one should/could make that choice for you and this includes your family members.

When reading these interpretations, take into account, if you know, your moon sign and ascendant sign as well as your sun sign.

Aries --- Aries is finding great difficulty in following its own star because of the multitude of distractions and activities. It is time to focus on taking care of one's body and mind in the same way that we think our relationships should; this is very difficult for the Aries to stay consistently on his/her own path without always trying to second guess what others want from him/her. This might be causing problems around the head and stomach area, with confusion and dizziness. It is about 'making decisions' and keeping with those decisions. How do you want to be treated in your life? You need to give that treatment to yourself first.

Taurus --- Taurus is somewhat confused about career choices that have been made most recently. Taurus needs to learn the difference between career and vocation and choose what he/she really wants to do in life. Inner authority has long been a battle with the authority figure in the family, mostly around the 'father'. If there has been a negative connection to father, then we have some procrastination and passive aggressive issues happening in the Taurean life. Taurus is a fixed sign and need to be more flexible about 'self healing' and connection to those with whom one is intimate. That person is not your possession, but a soul that needs your remarkable sense of touch and feeling. You need this as well.

Gemini--- Geminis are concerned about health, money and relationships, in that order, during the month of July. The money starts to be a source of great strength or of great concern, depending on one's perspective. Gemini's are also having problems focusing on a single plan. Have you ever thought that you might be multi tasked and fully capable of carrying on two or three careers at once, making each of those a valuable source of finances? You have never been so busy as you are about to become. You will feel like you are on a roller coaster in the following months.

Cancer --- Getting your finances and health in order is very important now, but even more so is your relationships and your idea of an important intimate relationship. What are you giving to your partnership in the form of nurturance and commitment? Is it time to start a family or is it a time to really participate in the give and take of family life that you have been avoiding? Many of you cancer types want to re do your home or look for a new one, one that fits your personality and gives you more confidence and less work. Cancer is very withholding at times and now is the time to find a confidante and share some of your concerns. It might be a good thing to talk about this with someone you trust.

Leo --- Paying attention to finances and 'living the good life' would be two things that keep you busy during the month of July, however the rewards for both will not be evident until September. There has been a need to watch your nutrition and the way you take care of your body in order to fight those nagging aches and pains due to your 'lack of' care for self. It is time to budget, to figure what your time is really worth in the light of how many hours you put in on any one project. It is also time to evaluate relationships that are working for and against you and get in touch with only those who will enhance your life, not take away from it. Focus this month should be on the way you have incorporated the 'self image' that you gained from your father and how that plays with your inner authority.

Virgo --- Virgo is feeling the pressure these days, much of the pressure is due to one's own self critical nature. It is time to get off of your back and realize that you need rest and relaxation. The Virgo mind never seems to rest, so it isn't necessary to always provide a high level of excitement or entertainment just so you can keep from being bored. Learn to meditate and calm yourself, even in the face of those relationships that you so desire, yet turn out to be 'using you' rather than enhancing who you are. Sometimes the Virgo is so distracted by his or her own thoughts that the point is missed. Focus is the key this month.

Libra --- It is time to see what issues are sabotaging you both at home and in your career, with family and with the authority with whom you work. You have a hard time making decisions about what to do with your life and it is a matter of looking back and reflecting on the relationships you have had and the kinds of people who are attractive to you. This says a great deal about 'you', not necessarily the 'other'. You are going to have to take control of your environment this month or you will find yourself being drained of energy, not to mention the resentment that has built up in your body over this past year. The resentment is really about not making the 'moves' you need to make in order to live a more complete life. The time to get started is NOW!

Scorpio --- If you have not been saving nor investing your money, then this is not a good time for you. Your work and career need to be congruent, creating a nest egg for yourself which will carry you into you retirement and beyond. There has been some confusion in the family regarding who needs to take care of 'what'. You need to take the bull by the horns and make some plans which might not please everyone, but will get the ball rolling. Home needs to be a respite for you, not a place of chaos and confusion so you need to find a space that is quiet and peaceful so your mind can settle into some more creative thinking, rather than be puzzled by all the complications that surround you. People will not always understand you, so why try pleasing them when you know you can't?

Sagittarius --- It might be time for you to travel and enjoy the fantasies that you have in that regard…spend some time with a sense of freedom. If there is a career open to you this month that will allow you to travel, then do so. You may also have to go back to school or retrain in something that excites you, so don't put it off and get started on that this fall. You have felt that you were in a rut, and now you have a chance to set up a new pathway to a more fulfilled life. There are some fears haunting you as you get older…fears that you might not attain your dreams and goals. This is your mind playing with you so start manifesting all that you have wanted. You are in total control of your life as hard as that might be to believe. Quit looking to others to help you solve that problem…you have all the answers you need....inside.

Capricorn --- It is time to develop your healing abilities and spread your wings. I think this might be difficult for you cappy's who seem to plan your agenda so that you have few freedoms and less support around you. It might help if you take some of that stashed income or investments and do what YOU WANT TO DO! Your health, both mental and physical, need the reassurance that you will have some fun that is so richly deserved after so many years of constant responsibility. Oftentimes the Capricorn will manifest the opposite sign, Crab (Cancer) and become an old crab before his or her time. People don't enjoy being around someone who is so very serious about life and issues. No one, and I mean no one, will ever live up to your expectations so give it up.

Aquarius --- You have changed drastically over the last seven years and now it is time to settle down into a more stabilized situation, one which engages your creativity and brilliant mind to a full extent. You have some new situations that have come about that you need to consider from home, family, career, relationships and health. You might even think of moving away from all of the things that have held you back and start over. If there ever was a sign that could do this, then Aquarius is that sign. You might also have flashes of insight that seem to blow your mind as your mind can encompass a quantum reality and wrap itself around paradigms and ideas that would puzzle any normal person. You have the brains to make the change needed and to solidify the decisions you have made. Go for it!

Pisces --- Pisces is getting ready to go through what Aquarius has just lived through in the last seven years, so find yourself a trusted Aquarian friend and have this conversation. You may be splitting up from a relationship… something that is long overdue. I am sure you are hurting and puzzled about this, however it is setting the stage for many good things to come your way. You have to get out of your own hermits cave and see if others are feelings the changes that exist in our cosmos at this time. I am sure with your heightened psychic sense, you can feel this change coming. You might be able to help people in the healing arts and other holistic means to find a way of healing this planet. Your consciousness is getting ready to go through a shift and it is needed.
