The month of July begins with the Sun transiting the watery sign of Cancer.  Strong identification with the themes of family, home, security, patriotism, emotions, nurturance, comfort and safety is the focus of the sign of the Crab. Cancerian issues can involve insecurity, negative nationalism, moodiness, guilt, stuck-in-the-past syndrome, worry, instability, sidestepping of issues, ostrich-head-in-the-sand syndrome, food issues and emotional manipulation to name a few.  The governing angel of the month of July is Verchiel and the governing angel of Cancer is Muriel.

Saturday the 1st an adjustment aspect occurs between Venus and Jupiter that involve partners’ discussions with sincerity and depth pitted against superficiality and psychological mongering.  Education loans may also be discussed with the analysis of fact versus fiction being cross-haired. 

This same Saturday the US Sibly chart has an inharmonious aspect of the Progressed Moon to the Progressed Saturn, which can symbolize what is happening to the real estate market?  There can be depreciation, slowdowns and perhaps devaluation.  Is the beginning of deflation occurring with this market?  Stringent, fiscal discipline emerges; those individuals/corporate entities not able to withstand this test collapse under their own bloated weight.

Also on this Saturday is harmonious contact of Venus with Chiron that is excellent for the spa treatment especially with alternative therapies like massage, Reiki, hydrotherapy, etc.  True, genuine appreciation has a healing effect in all relationships.

This same Saturday is the monthly Apogee Moon (greatest distance from the Earth) that symbolizes the ability to cultivate objectivity and impartiality with emotions/feelings.  Care needs to taken in regards to pool accidents and drownings.

Sunday the 2nd is a harmonious aspect between Venus and Saturn that is excellent for professional entertainment especially individuals that command respect due to being so long in the business.  An appreciation for veterans and the elderly can be affectionately demonstrated.

This same Sunday is an inharmonious aspect of President Bush’s Progressed Moon opposite his birth North Node.  A very similar aspect occurred last March 10, 2006 and here is a quote from the March 2006 AstroForecast about this alignment: “this aspect can symbolize a definition/clarification period involving all communications and international diplomacy/policies.  Health issues can arise for the President whether personal ones or involving national policies.  A literal and/or figurative biological and/or political contagion can be ignited.  Media attention is riveted to facts, documents, discussions, plans and interviews associated with the executive branch and its representatives. Commercial, mercantile and/or trade organizations are in the spotlight.  Chaos, upheaval, turmoil, shocks and unexpected surprises catch everyone with their guard down.”  Due to the slow movement of this aspect three months before/after this date can be included.

Monday July 3rd is the annual Aphelion (farthest distance of a planet to the Sun) of Earth late in the evening.  This Earth Aphelion is strongly associated with legal matters personal/collective and what could be deliberate hiding of shady agenda. 

Tuesday the 4th at 2:33pm is the station retrograde of Mercury launching the classic Mercury retrograde Murphy’s Law associated with snags, snafus and snits about schedules, delivery systems, transportation, mechanical breakdowns and computer viruses or dysfunctions over the next three weeks.  The classic Mercury retrograde is also a time period to review, reevaluate, reanalyze or reassess documents, contracts, important signatures, learning or teaching materials, and important communications.  The degree position of this retrograde Mercury will be seen again on August 11, 2006; these two dates can correspond to one another.  This retrograde of Mercury occurs in early Leo and then exits the sign of the lion by re-entering Cancer the sign of the crab.  Get ready for the sideways, wobble dance of the crab because the calypso beat will beckon the last ten days of the following signs in descending order: Cancer, Capricorn, Libra and Aries.  Just remember you mentioned signs if it gets a little freaky, raise or lower the bar and dance to the limbo!  International justice, trade, espionage, diplomacy, ambassadors, couriers are in the limelight.  A lot of second thoughts about these areas around the globe will be focused.  Bias, secular and religious intolerance, prejudice, hypocrisy and double standards can be egregious and particular cruelty can garnish attention.  Keywords for this station of Mercury are: So what is the grand design, what is the specific program to launch?  It’s like a rubber band that requires some tension and the pulling back for any forward motion to happen.  Just when it seems like regression is the intolerable brink, snap goes the rubber band and the launch forward occurs.  No matter what distance is covered it’s really the journey to the new location that matters the most.  The dream wakes you up to your existential reality; how will you manifest the dream or do you hit the snooze button?  It’s not where you’ve been but more importantly where are you going?

This same Tuesday is the once in thirty-year alignment of Saturn with President Bush’s natal Pluto position.  There were two previous alignments last October 24, 2005 and December 20, 2005; all three of these dates can correspond to one another.  So many baby boomers in the world are experiencing this phenomenon.  Saturn symbolizes narrowed focus, sometimes perceived as inhibiting and limiting, on practical matters and getting to the essence of worldly reality.  Pluto is all about sustained long-term transformation that is necessary for elimination of stagnation in one’s life so evolutionary growth can occur.  Pluto symbolizes life or death and either it is fit for life or fit for death whether literal and/or figurative.  Whatever can be salvaged Pluto will rekindle regeneration, rebirth and renewal.  The realistic assessment of graft, corruption, greed, power grabs and manipulation/coercion will be an important focus. 

July 5th is the opposition of Mars with Neptune that can witness mishaps, fatalities, accidents, and explosions associated with the oceans, ports, harbors, bridges, earthquakes, storms, tsunamis as well as problems with chemicals, petroleum and pharmaceutical products.  Political saber rattling can occur with propaganda, demagoguery and the perpetrated victimization of disenfranchised segments of society.  These two planets were last conjunct one another April 13, 2005.  This opposition is therefore the definition and clarification of what was “seeded” between these two planets back on the 2005 date.

Thursday the 6th at 2:19am is the station direct of Jupiter thus ending its retrograde motion that began in early March of this year.  Concerns of this direct Jupiter can be associated with the following areas: health concerns such health insurance, pension plans, retirement and mutual funds, investment concerns, security, international obligations, individuals with physical disabilities, as well as national strategies dealing with shared resources, shared funds and joint assets.  Jupiter was previously at this degree position (the Pre-Shadow Point) last December 7, 2005.  Here is a quote from the December AstroForecast 2005 about this degree position: “Jupiter’s position in the national chart focuses on the following: health concerns, police and/or military security, mutual funds, pensions, co-worker goodwill, workplace bias and/or harassment, scandals involving large institutions, insurance, foreign diplomatic impasses, sudden expansive insights, national compassion as well as visionary idealism.”  Keywords associated with this station direct of Jupiter are: How far down the totem pole does the individual have to go to expose the innermost fear of vulnerability?  It is the slide down the pole that is preparing the body for ultimate strength through all the tension and grasping that is experienced through this exercise.  The spark of inner life shines a beacon of light in all the fearful darkness.  Washed ashore is the broken mast of an ancient sea vessel; karma comes home to roost.

Sunday the 9th is harmonious aspect between Venus with Neptune that is excellent for charity fundraisers, new breakthroughs in art especially the visual and audio media, as well as important fashion trends that focus on glamour.  Romantic ideals are stimulated.  Idealizing romance can also develop.

Monday the 10th at 3:18pm Mercury re-enters the sign of Cancer, due to its current retrograde motion, and will remain in the sign of the crab until August 10, 2006.  Mercury will be reevaluating, reassessing and reanalyzing the following: strong emphasis will be placed on family dialogue, national discussions of security, agri-business concerns and real estate negotiations to mention a few.  Moodiness and emotional neediness can cloud better discernment if allowed.

Tuesday the 11th is an adjustment aspect involving the Sun with Neptune that can represent some sentimentality versus emotional detachment between individuals.  Emotional awkwardness can exist especially with issues involving floods.  Volunteerism and charity can be in the spotlight.

Thursday the 13th is the monthly Perigee Moon (closest approach of the Moon to Earth) that symbolizes strong intense emotions that can come easily to the conscious surface.  Adjustments are due in political rhetoric especially in regards to nationalism versus freedom and civil rights.

Friday the 14th several aspects occur involving the planets Venus, Mars and Pluto.  The first one is a harmonious contact of Mars with Pluto that is excellent for strong motivation to hunker down to get projects and initiatives off the ground and running.  Strong determination, strong drive and strong endurance accompany this alignment.  A week before and after this applies. 

The second aspect is the annual opposition of Venus with Pluto.  These two planets were conjunct one another last October 28, 2005; these two dates can correspond to one another.  This is the clarification and definition period of these two planets from what was “seeded” last October.  Coercion, power plays, mind games and manipulation involving partners, finances and misunderstood values can ignite.  Procrastination, passive/aggressive behaviors, complacency, doublespeak, hypocrisy, double standards, and strong negative judgments can contaminate the environment.

The third aspect is a harmonious one between Venus and Mars that symbolizes strong efforts to correct the above mentioned affairs could exhibit healthy rewards and payoffs.  The key word here is efforts. 

Saturday the 15th is the declinational shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities.  Surrender negative habits, wipe that slate clean and allow the ground to remain fallow metaphorically speaking.

Sunday the 16th is literal red-letter day astrologically speaking involving the US Sibly chart.  On this day through secondary progression the planet Mars goes retrograde and will remain retrograde until March 29, 2086!!! This has never occurred before in US history.  This approximate 80-year retrograde of Mars will be important in so many areas involving this nation.  Mars is the ruler of the 4th house in this chart that is associated with the home, family, real estate, national security, agribusiness and foundations of any sort.  Mars actual retrogradation is occurring in the opposite 10th house that rules business, executives, the executive branch of government, status, reputation, respect and drives to accomplish success.  Mars is a motivational planet with strong self-orientation, assertiveness and aggressiveness.  The problem with Mars is that its natural direct and sometimes confrontational mannerisms become thwarted through retrogradation and thus that ignites Mars proclivity to anger, frustration, annoyance, aggravation, irritability and violation/violence.  What is interesting is that natal Saturn of the Sibly chart is contacted by Mars’ retrogradation. There has been a previous contact back on August 3, 1979 (shades of the ayatollah!) and there will be future contacts when we see the dates of May 29, 2031 and February 13, 2141!  All three of these dates can correspond to one another.

In this Sibly chart Mars has only one inharmonious aspect and it is to the natal Neptune.  Several scenarios can be played out with oil, the pharmaceutical industries and the automotive industries especially dealing with new engines.  The contact of Mars with Saturn is a sobering reality phase and Saturn would like to introduce discipline to Mars yet discipline is a four-letter word for Mars.  The executive branch of government if allowed to be unchecked can ignite dangerous constitutional precedents/crises.  Saturn is karma in astrology.  There can be chilling effects here.  Mars rules war and could this be a spark of civil war?  Also when Mars is retrograde there can be tendencies if a nation initiates war there will be deep regrets and potential for deep loss and suffering.  Pray for the nation.

This same Sunday is an inharmonious contact of Venus with the Lunar Nodes that can symbolize fate/destiny with relationships experiencing disharmony and disaffection.  Financial issues and the markets will be important to observe.  Karma can be loaded in regards to peace efforts, diplomacy and mediation.

Monday the 17th is an adjustment aspect between the Sun and Pluto that can symbolize fathers, executives and leaders needing to be honest, ethical and principled in regards to shared values, shared resources and joint interests for the benefit of all.

Tuesday the 18th at 9:41pm is the entrance of Venus into the sign of domestic Cancer for an approximate 28-day journey.  Venus symbolizes the art of beautifying, valuing, cherishing and treasuring what the heart most desires and here in the sign of Cancer the home, family, secure and stable foundations will be her domains for the following month.  Thomas Jefferson expresses it best with “The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have past at home in the bosom of my family.”

Also this same Tuesday is the conjunction of retrograde Mercury with the Sun.  The reevaluation of communications, thoughts, concepts and ideas in regards to national security, the home and family is paramount. 

Wednesday the 19th is an adjustment aspect Mercury and Pluto that follows up the Solar aspect of Monday the 17th with the media focusing on key areas to discuss what transpired the previous Monday.  Teenagers can also be in the spotlight.

Saturday the 22nd at 1:53pm is the entrance of fiery Mars into the sign of Virgo for an approximate 45-day period.  Mars in this sign can manifest problems with insects, especially attacks by killer bees or fire ants. Cyber/physical viruses can also present headaches during this Virgo sojourn.  Pesticides can be accidentally released that pose threats to water reservoirs and the saturation of crops to be harvested.  Budgetary debates become heated and military expenditures come under detailed scrutiny.  Anger, frustration, irritability, aggravation, annoyance and/or violation can be ignited especially with anal-retentive behaviors, hairsplitting, micro-management, heavy negative criticism and streaks of perfectionism.

Wednesday the 26th is a harmonious contact of Venus with Jupiter that is excellent for home improvement/renovation/restoration projects especially areas involving water like bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, swimming pools, fountains, aquariums, etc.

Saturday the 29th is the declinational shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities.  Stubborn issues concerning health regimens can be ironed out with this celestial occurrence.

Also this same Saturday is a rare second monthly Apogee Moon (greatest distance from the Earth) that symbolizes the ability to cultivate objectivity and impartiality with emotions/feelings.  Basically the same concerns with the previous paragraph apply.

Sunday the 30th is a harmonious contact of Venus with Uranus that can healthily stimulate intellectual and emotional rapport between partners.  Innovative ideas associated with home improvement arise.  Novel approaches to family and domestic matters do well.

This same Saturday is the annual opposition of the Sun with Chiron that can symbolize the definition/clarification of alternative approaches to individual weakness/vulnerabilities.  These two heavenly bodies were conjunct one another last January 23, 2006; these two dates can correspond to one another. 

Also on this Saturday is the inharmonious contact of Jupiter to President Bush natal Mercury that can symbolize either the President or an executive staff member jumping to conclusions, foot in mouth syndrome, discrepancies that appear hypocritical or double standards applied with the media.  Problems with the judicial branch of government can arise as well.  This is third and final contact of Jupiter with President Bush’s birth Mercury.  The previous contacts were last December 12, 2006 and June 12, 2006; all three of these dates can correspond to one another.
