AstroForecast March 2004

by Lance Rodriguez

All times Central Time Zone

The Sun is transiting the sign of Pisces as we enter the month of March. The angel of March is Machidiel and the angel associated with the sign of Pisces is Varchiel. Pisces is the sign of the zodiac that orients itself to compassion, selflessness, understanding, empathy, philanthropy, psychic impressionability, desire for unity, completion and integration, artistic inclinations, maritime affairs, cinema, and the collective unconscious. Negative expressions of Pisces can be disillusionment, depression, martyr/victim syndromes, abandonment/neglect issues, the savior/redeemer/rescue syndrome, unrealistic expectations and negative escapism, co-dependency/addictions problems and rose-tinted glasses perspectives.

Wednesday the 3rd several celestial aspects occur beginning with an adjustment aspect involving Jupiter and Neptune. This planetary interaction pits practicality and perfection against idealism and utopianism. Here broad and diffuse concepts clash with precision and execution. Excessive critical politics can emerge.

The Sun and Mercury are conjunct one another this same day that symbolizes vigorous, creative thoughts centered on unity, compassion and universal love. The best utilization of this conjunction is to work with meditation, contemplation, visualization, affirmation and prayer for personal peace as well as universal peace. Sensitivity to psychic impressions and/or dreams is also strong.

Both the Sun and Mercury oppose Jupiter on this Wednesday. These two planets were conjunct Jupiter previously last year with Mercury on July 25, 2003 and the Sun on August 22, 2003. This is the “illumination and completion” phase of these planets to Jupiter. This is a clarification and definition of how to implement, identify and plan for “quality of life” themes/issues regarding work, health, efficiency, budgets, protocols, procedures and policies.

Thursday the 4th is the degree position Mercury attains that is known astrologically as its “Fall” which means this planet is vibrating to its lowest frequency and is quite weakened in its planetary function of logic, thought, planning, negotiations, communications, presentations and connections. Its degree position in the sign of Pisces can introduce confusion, vagaries, uncertainty, tentativeness, hopelessness and victimization.

Friday the 5th Venus reaches the degree position of the Aries Solar Eclipse of April 19, 2004 so these two dates can correspond to one another. Venus as the planet of harmony, love, relationships, finances and values impacts this Aries Solar Eclipse degree through compromise, mediation and collaboration on a positive level or through the negative level introduces indecision, vacillation, apathy or indifference.

Also on this Friday Venus at 12:12pm enters its own ruled sign of Taurus for its annual 28-day journey in this earthy zodiac sign. An important focus on financial well-being, priorities with personal values and steadfastness can be acquired. Sensuality is aroused with this passage of Venus through earthy Taurus. Taurus rules the middle month of spring and therefore revels in the concentration and enjoyment of earthly delights. Massages, reflexology, spa therapies, manicures & pedicures, and aromatherapy all add to this physical, earthly side of Venus. “The hunger for love is more difficult to feed than the hunger for bread” Mother Teresa.

Saturday the 6th at 5:14pm is the annual Virgo Full Moon that symbolizes the letting go/surrender/completion phase of the Moon. Issues to surrender associated with this lunation are criticism, anal-retentive behaviors, negative micro-management, overly perfectionistic tendencies, hypochondria, budgetary worries and negative faultfinding. Angel Jazeriel is associated with this Virgo Full Moon. The degree position of this Virgo lunation is known as a “critical degree” that can introduce crisis with the above mentioned issues. Virgo is also the zodiac sign that rules the armed forces, civil service and the police. Jupiter was previously conjunct this Virgo lunation degree last February 10, 2004 and November 27, 2003 so here is a quote from the November AstroForecast 2003 that sheds some light: “Military intelligence, cost effectiveness and scandals involving shady partnerships have an impact on a national/international scale. Hypocrisy, double standards, hypercriticism, fraud, hush funds and scathing verbal attacks are other forms of fallout with this alignment.” Jupiter will make its final realignment with this degree position on July 22, 2004 so all these dates link to this Virgo lunation. The following planets will also align with this degree position on the following dates: Mars on September 5, 2004, the Sun on September 8, 2004, Mercury on September 21, 2004 and finally Venus on October 17, 2004. Issues can arise concerning ambushes, assassinations, blackmail, secret enemies, conspiracies, mass religious delusions and fanaticism, plagues, suicides, chemical poisoning, and condemnations.
