The following areas are positive themes to cultivate with this lunation: priorities, teamwork, groups and associations, memberships, innovations, novel approaches that can be applied, brainstorming, networking, creating new alliances and allegiances that can be tapped for future developments as well as community work. Angel Aziel is associated with this lunation so if you need angelic assistance invoke this one by name. The planet Neptune will align with the degree of this Aquarius New Moon on March 13 2003, again on July 22, 2003 and a final rendezvous on January 14, 2003. Perhaps there will be important correspondences to note with all these dates. The following geographic areas are sensitized to this Aquarius New Moon in the Astro*Carto*Graphy Map: Lima Perú, Caracas Venezuela, Reykjavik Iceland, Pakse Laos, Saigon Vietnam, Pontianak Borneo, Western Australia especially Marble Bar, the mid-section of the continent of Africa especially Cape Town South Africa, and the following European cities: Athens, Sofia, Belgrade, Budapest, Krakow and Warsaw. .

Sunday the 2nd is Groundhog Day also known as Imbolc, a pagan holiday as well as this is an astrological cross-quarter day, a mid-seasonal day. Cross-quarter days can be quite potent in astrology. The annual opposition of the Sun with Jupiter occurs this day symbolizing the identification of philosophies, attitudes, viewpoints and perspectives that require great definition and clarification especially those involving foreign people, foreign lands, foreign cultures, foreign policies and foreign diplomacy. The last conjunction of these two planets occurred July 18, 2002. A harmonious aspect involving Venus and Uranus is excellent for making new friendships, applying novel approaches to financial matters and joining causes to promote peace locally and universally. A harmonious aspect involving Mars and Neptune is excellent especially for artists who want to galvanize artistic projects and the activation of daily commitment to meditation, contemplation, visualization, affirmation and prayer. “Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind” Bertrand Russell.

Tuesday the 4th Mars aligns with the Solar Eclipse chart of December 4, 2002 symbolically bringing action, assertiveness, brashness or recklessness to the following areas that are garnered from the December 2002 AstroForecast: “Those individuals born the first week of December, June, March and September are quite sensitized to this eclipse. International financial affairs, multi-national banking transactions and global financial markets will be emphasized with this eclipse chart. The Astro*Carto*Graphy Map of this eclipse sensitizes the following geographic areas: Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Morocco, Lisbon, Madrid, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Finland, Central Japan especially Osaka, Melanesia and Wellington New Zealand. Keywords associated with this lunation are surrender ingrained prejudices and subjective, pre-mature foregone conclusions. Humility reorients the ego to sacrifice false pride and arrogance.”

A harmonious aspect between Mars and Jupiter occurs Wednesday the 5th that can symbolize what in ancient astrology was termed “fortunate action”. Certain actions can lead to fortunate consequences. This same Wednesday is the bi-monthly ecliptic shift of the Moon that can symbolize changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities. Expressions of charity, understanding, empathy and great sensitivity are well cultivated and well received.

Thursday the 6th is an adjustment aspect Mercury has with Saturn that requires some deft backpedaling, spin doctoring or humble admissions from executives and management of corporations, government or the clergy. This is an aspect Mercury already had with Saturn dating back to January 9th due to this planet’s retrograde and subsequent forward motion in late January. “Time present and time past, Are both perhaps present in time future, And time future contained in time past” T S Eliot.

An Apogee Moon (farthest distance of the Moon to Earth) occurs Friday the 7th that is symbolic of the ability to cultivate objective and impartial emotions/feelings. An appreciation of true values, financial stability and positive career developments is associated with this Apogee Moon. Sensual delights such as aromatherapy, massage, bubble baths and fine cuisine are also highlighted.

A harmonious aspect involving the Sun and Pluto is excellent for identifying priorities that with effort involved will help to galvanize willpower to bring success. Identification of core themes of renewal, rebirth and rejuvenation is also prominent. The overhaul of outmoded principles and philosophies brings about new astonishing insights.

Tuesday the 11th witnesses the Sun and Saturn in a harmonious aspect to one another. This is a healthy identification of career drives, discipline, patience, respect for wisdom and elders, perseverance and reputation in the community. This same day is the station retrograde of asteroid Vesta emphasizing a review and reassessment of all themes/issues involving safety, security, focus, concentration and dedication.

Wednesday the 12th is the Post-Shadow Point of Mercury that refers to the degree Mercury went retrograde on January 2, 2003. This Wednesday Mercury will now go beyond the Shadow period that initially began December 16, 2002. Mercury will now gather fresh information through its passage in the zodiac until the next Mercury retrograde in late April 2003. Here is an excerpt from the January 2003 AstroForecast that is associated with this Mercury degree position: “Mercury is very prominent in the Washington DC chart as it sits on the Midheaven so the political bureaucracy and the administration will garner enormous focus. Banking institutions, their stewardship and important fiscal policies can also call attention. A leadership vacuum within the health industry and benefits for the common workers require practical solutions. Keywords for this Mercury station are as scaffolding is necessary to bring finishing touches to the exterior of a building, minor but very important small details are necessary to bring about smooth negotiations and conclusions. Penetrating insights are important to cultivate in any relationship.”

An adjustment aspect between Venus and Jupiter occurs on Valentine’s Day that can symbolize a partner being reticent, timid or shy with the other partner overwhelming the reticent one with flashiness and showiness. At an extreme this could constitute impropriety. The other extreme could be apathy or indifference. Genuineness, sincerity and a sense of childlike playfulness will be the charms to counteract any disharmony. “It is a good rule in life never to apologize. The right sort of people do not want apologies, and the wrong sort take a mean advantage of them” P G Wodehouse.

Jupiter opposes Neptune on Sunday the 16th at 3:12am with this opposition being the second one since the first one occurred September 11, 2002. The third and final opposition will occur June 2, 2003. Here is a quote from the September 2002 AstroForecast that describes this planetary opposition: “The last time these two planets were conjunct one another was January 9, 1997 which was the “seeding” period of their symbolic dynamics in the sign of Capricorn. The sign of the goat has important associations with career, ambitions, drives for success, status quo, hierarchy, business profits and corporate culture. Astrological oppositions are time periods to define and clarify themes/issues therefore the excesses of the late 90’s and subsequent disillusionment with corporate fat cats that have total disregard for stockholders and the common workers are now up for full examination and scrutiny. Jupiter symbolizes personal ideals and ethics while Neptune is more concerned with collective ideals and spiritual values. Jupiter is currently transiting the sign of Leo that orients itself to executives, leaders and those in positions of power and authority. Neptune is in Aquarius that symbolizes rapid accelerated changes that bring about reform, reversals, and group consciousness. Neptune is the outermost planet involved with this alignment so it has astrological pre-eminence in that Neptune’s energy brings about change through the power of dissolution so that a greater sense of unity can be achieved. Archaic 20th century corporate culture that is fixated with greed, illusory grandeur, excessive profits and intoxication of unlimited power will be tossed into a maelstrom. Aquarius is about group consciousness that harnesses effective power especially through teamwork, team spirit and team play. Neptune in Aquarius will last until the year 2011 and what will emerge very significantly is workers and stockholders will become the most valuable human resources of the corporate future. Corporate leaders and their administrations that don’t recognize this will be ultimately dismayed and shocked with the gathering momentum of unified workers’/stockholders’ reform influences. The next conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune, both in Aquarius, will be the year 2009 and more or less all the reforms will be put into place by then.”

The annual Leo Full Moon is this same Sunday the 16th at 5:52pm that symbolizes the release/surrender/completion phase of the Moon over the next two weeks. The following negative behaviors can be released with this lunation: arrogance, false vanity and pride, power issues involving control with the “I-have-you-under-my-thumb syndrome”, authoritarianism, melodrama and temperamental attitudes. Angel Abdizuel is associated with this lunation. Jupiter will align with this lunation degree point on August 17, 2003 so these two dates can have correspondence with one another. There is volatility linked to this lunation that can express itself through civil unrest, rebellion, explosions, acts of terror, earthquakes and upheavals. The A*C*G Map for this Leo lunation sensitizes the following geographic areas around the world: the Western countries of the continent of Africa, a direct hit with Bern Switzerland, Cologne Germany, Nice France, Turin Italy, Alaska, in the United States the following cities have direct hits: Tulsa OK, Omaha NE, Sioux Falls and Pierre SD, as well as Shreveport LA, Wichita and Kansas City KS, and Bismarck ND. Central American countries are also highlighted with Tegucigalpa Honduras in particular, as well as Santiago Chile. Keywords associated with this Leo Full Moon are understand the deeper paradox of the incarnated world. On one hand the gravity of the world is what centers us in worldly reality with all the twists and turns of heaviness and rigidity. Yet on the other hand the momentary release of that same gravity when the body propels away from it gives us the ecstasy of flying and the joy of freedom.

A conjunction of Mars and Pluto occurs on this same Sunday symbolizing the “seeding” period of these two planets. These two planets will oppose one another on April 24, 2004 and the more conscious expressions will be witnessed then. These two planets in the sky together symbolize the fusion of power, intense drives, assertiveness, aggressiveness, sharing, merging, bonding, sexuality, secrecy, investments, penetration, probing, psychology, research, investigations, detective work and espionage. Negative expressions are violations, oppression, aggression, terrorism, power plays, power games, rape, murder, poisoning, executions, extreme willfulness and oligarchy to name a few. The dogs of war are howling and the gates of hell are opening.

Monday the 17th Mars is an opposition alignment with the Solar Eclipse chart of June 10, 2002. Definition and clarification through actions, boldness and courage will be important with this Martial energy focus especially in the following areas that is from a quote from the June 2002 AstroForecast: “Communications dynamics in partnerships are strongly emphasized whether communications breakdowns or breakthroughs will be witnessed. Pluto, Saturn and the Lunar Nodes are importantly aligned with this lunation so karmic themes/issues that allow the opportunity to bring about transformation are highlighted. Bridges and tunnels grab attention as security risks. The Astro*Carto*Graphy Map of this eclipse highly emphasizes New Delhi, India and Islamabad, Pakistan in Asia. The entire eastern seaboard of the United States is also strongly emphasized as well. In the Americas Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Cuba and the Bahamas and surrounding islands are also significant.

The annual conjunction of the Sun with Uranus and the conjunction of Venus with Chiron on this same Monday symbolize novel approaches to bringing about healing paradigms to wounded relationships. New insights to the applications of futuristic visions are strong. The establishment of new mentoring relationships is excellent.

The Post Shadow Point of the planet Uranus occurs on Tuesday the 18th that refers to the degree position Uranus went retrograde last June 2, 2002. Here is a quote from the June 2002 AstroForecast that will give further understanding to this Post Shadow Point of Uranus: “How can any individual access inner truth that acknowledges inner innovation is an important inner process. This inner access unleashes a more inventive perspective that can apply novel approaches to old problems. “With our thoughts alone, we can build the world” Buddha.

Tuesday the 18th at 8:00pm is the ingress of the majestic Sun into the sign of Pisces for its annual 30-day journey in the sign of the Fish. Pisces seeks to surrender negative worldly attachments so that it may embrace sublime unity, integration and oneness with the supreme godhead. Compassion, understanding, sensitivity, artistic inclinations, spirituality, and empathy are some of the harmonious attributes of this sign. Disillusionment, discouragement, martyrdom, addictions, over-idealization, confusion and hysteria are some of the inharmonious behaviors of Pisces. The Sun can symbolize our identification with any of the above listed descriptions of Piscean energies. The angel of Pisces is Varchiel.

The Pre-Shadow Point of Uranus occurs on Wednesday the 19th indicating the degree position Uranus reaches on this date that is exactly the degree position Uranus turns stationary direct on November 8, 2003. Pay attention to these two dates, as there may be a correspondence to one another. Keywords associated with this Pre-Shadow Point degree of Uranus are the potential for the individual to come to some form of understanding of all possible knowledge. Subtle and ethereal complexities suddenly become simple and straightforward. A true desire for communion with God emerges.

The Moon is also quite active on this Wednesday as well. A Perigee Moon (closest approach of the Moon to Earth) symbolizing strong intense emotions can come easily to the conscious surface. Mothers experience a sense of empowerment and can organize themselves to activate political clout. An ecliptic shift of the Moon that can symbolize changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities also occurs this same day. Negotiations, settlements and some wheeling and dealing are prominent with this ecliptic shift. Pay attention to fine details.

Thursday the 20th is a day of planetary oppositions involving Mars and Saturn with one another as well as Mercury with Jupiter. The conjunction of Mars and Saturn occurred May 4, 2002 and now the definition and clarification of their “seeding” period comes to the fore. Great restraint, effective discipline and conscientious caution is mixed with impulsiveness, impetuousness and recklessness. The last conjunction of Mercury with Jupiter was July 20, 2002 that evoked the symbolism of “A shot heard around the world”. Now definition and clarification is strongly oriented to international policies, protocols and diplomacy. The problem of the opposition involving Mercury and Jupiter is the jumping to conclusions paradigm

.

Friday the 21st is the conjunction of Mercury with Neptune symbolizing the logical, rational mind making contact with the Divine and more spiritual non-reality. This is a “seeding” period involving the planet of day-to-day consciousness with the planet of the collective unconscious. New trends and fads can emerge with technology, film, art, spirituality, fashion and glamour. Mercury opposes Neptune on July 19, 2003; that will be the time period to witness what will culminate and be fully illuminated from the reservoirs of the collective unconscious. This date can be important especially involving contracts and signatures, as details can be a little too fuzzy. It is best to postpone a signature until 3 days later or if a signature is crucial these days go over the document with a fine toothcomb.

Saturday the 22nd at 1:41am is the station direct of the planet Saturn in the sign of Gemini. This is the last retrograde of Saturn in the sign of Gemini until about 30 years from now. Saturn will enter the sign of Cancer in June 2003. Here is an excerpt from the July 2002 AstroForecast that is linked to this degree position of Saturn: “Keywords associated with this degree of Saturn are immaturity and rejection of responsibility confront a new emerging vision of diversity/variety within all relations. The impersonal “Self” unbinds the golden cord to allow inclusion of diverse/various thoughts that stimulate new patterns of connection. The bridges of the mind are open gateways to newer realms of understanding and dialogue.” The A*C*G Map of this station of Saturn sensitizes the following geographic areas around the globe: Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize, the Yucatán, Jacksonville FL, Raleigh NC, a direct hit on Washington DC, Albany NY, Montréal Canada, the Scandinavian countries, Russia, Kabul Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and Wellington New Zealand.

This same Saturday is the inharmonious alignment of the Sun with the Lunar Nodes. A quality of fate or destiny can be imbued. Something from the past can come to haunt an individual or individuals. Financial affairs and investments are strongly emphasized with a great need for effective leadership.

An adjustment aspect happens between Venus and Saturn on Sunday the 23rd that symbolizes open discussions about resolving financial dilemmas. Draconian measures are under strong consideration. Individual states experiencing budget crises and shortfalls solicit help from the federal government.

Towards the end of February Mercury has harmonious aspects with Pluto and Saturn. Wednesday the 26th is the one with Pluto that is great for research, investigations and good detective work. Friday the 28th is the one with Saturn that is excellent for studying, impeccable work with details in mind and sound discipline.
