AstroForecast December 2004

by Lance Rodriguez

All times Central Time Zone

The majestic Sun is traveling the sign of Sagittarius as the month of December begins. Angel Anael is the governing angel of the month of December and angel Adnachiel is the governing angel of the sign of Sagittarius. The positive expressions of the sign of the Archer are optimism, faith, growth, expansion, moral objectivity, ethical and principled behaviors, tolerance, healthy future-orientation and positive development of opportunities. Negative expressions include excess, over-indulgence, exaggeration, hypocrisy, self-righteousness, negative judgment, intolerance, arrogance and overboard tendencies.

Thursday December 2nd is an inharmonious aspect involving Venus with Neptune that can symbolize disappointment, disillusionment, discouragement and disheartenment with financial/partnership matters and shared values that take a blow due to betrayal, sabotaging or undermining behaviors. The positive spin to this aspect is the ability to be compassionate and charitable to those individuals who are downtrodden, disenfranchised and disconnected by society. Unrequited love can also be another take on this aspect.

Friday the 3rd is the alignment of Mars with the Taurus Lunar Eclipse of May 2004 so here is a brief quote from the AstroForecast May 2004 on this subject: “Keywords associated with this Scorpio Full Moon are the demons of hate, intolerance, injustice, war, famine, disease block the path of the enlightened people with a “no exit, no passage” posture. Cold sweat trickles down the faces of these pilgrims. Return to the heart of love and dissolve in its warming waters. Ultimately these waters will in a torrent wash all the impurities away. A resplendent world awaits the abiding faithful untainted by the demons’ tauntings.” Mars is the action, initiative and motivational planet in astrology so its assertive and aggressive energies want to engage this Taurus Lunar Eclipse paradigm.

Saturday the 4th is a harmonious aspect of the Sun with Neptune that can symbolize creative energies unleashed that are excellent for the arts, spirituality and psychic impressionability. Pay attention to dreams that are prophetic and/or messages that are revealed. This is an excellent aspect for hypnotherapy work.

Sunday the 5th witnesses two planetary aspects for this day. The first is a harmonious contact between the Sun and Jupiter that symbolizes healthy strong individual confidence especially with promoting oneself and strong healthy identification of opportunities to be had or created. The ability to identify with tolerance, broadmindedness and moral values is beneficial. Personal expansion and growth through partnerships do well.

The second aspect is the conjunction of Venus with Mars that occurs approximately once every two years. This celestial conjunction of the two ancient mythological amorous gods symbolizes the merging of the peaceful loving feminine with the assertive action-oriented masculine. The introduction of passion, intimacy and tenderness mingles with one another. The flip side of all this are behaviors that introduce coyness, cuckoldry, violation, battering abuse and rage. This is a “seeding” time period of these two planets and results or fruition can be witnessed when these two planets oppose one another on October 1, 2005.

Monday the 6th is the monthly declinational shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities. Issues can arise with unexpected problems associated with partners experiencing mysterious illness, adverse drug reactions and mental fuzziness.

Tuesday the 7th is the second conjunction of Mercury with Pluto, as this planet the previous month on November 20th was conjunct Pluto. This second conjunction is due to Mercury’s retrograde motion and when Mercury is direct there will be a third conjunction of Mercury with Pluto on January 4, 2005. Here is a brief quote from the November AstroForecast 2004 about this conjunction: “This Mercury conjunction of Pluto can symbolize earnest investigations and powerful research. Good intelligence news can come to the surface. Extreme fanatical viewpoints are overdue for healthy measures of tolerance to create new bridges of vigorous communications. These two planets will oppose one another next June 7, 2005 so whatever is being “seeded” now will be fully revealed, defined and clarified then.”

This same Tuesday is the Pre-Shadow Point of Pluto meaning that this December degree position Pluto holds is also the exact degree position Pluto holds when it stations direct next September 2, 2005 so these dates can correspond to one another. Health care, the military, the police, firemen, accounting, budgets, medicine and pets are a focus with this December Pre-Shadow Point of Pluto.

Friday the 10th is the final conjunction of the year of the Sun with retrograde Mercury that can symbolize the strong identification and how creative to be with the review, reanalysis and reevaluation of perspectives, viewpoints, attitudes and philosophies of life. This is an excellent time period to communicate with individuals at a great distance that have somehow been neglected. Important facts, contacts and negotiations can be applied in regards to higher education, judicial matters and diplomatic efforts that need tweaking.

Saturday the 11th at 7:29pm is the annual Sagittarius New Moon that symbolizes the phase of the Moon oriented to new beginnings and new initiatives. The following areas are excellent for this lunation: recognizing, seizing and developing opportunities that provide growth and expansion, higher educational pursuits, travels and long-distance journeys, foreign languages, broadening experiences and perspectives, targeting future aspirations, goals, dreams and ideals as well as healthy tolerance. Angel Bethnael has rulership over this lunation so if you need a little angelic help and guidance invoke this angel by name! This is a powerfully positive Sagittarius New Moon, as no major inharmonious aspects exist with other planets. The energy dynamic of this lunation is about self-empowerment of personal creativity, confidence, authoritativeness and joy in one’s world. The ability to create vibrant shared values and shared power will also be important to emphasize. Keywords associated with this lunation are: As if placed in the sacred circle of Stonehenge, the individual recognizes the energetic current of ultra-dimensional spiritual selfhood. There are no barriers between spirit and soul as the marriage of heaven and earth is inevitable. There are opportunities and worlds yet to be explored and discovered the only thing that is required is the individual’s will and motivation. The zephyr winds gently blow your soul’s sails.

The Astro*Carto*Graphy map of this Sagittarius New Moon sensitizes the following geographical areas of the United States: Alaska especially Fairbanks, Hawaii, most of the West Coast, the Mountain States of New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona and Wyoming particularly Billings.

Around the world the following areas are sensitized: the extreme tip of the South American continent, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, France especially Marseille, the Balearic Islands, Algiers Algeria, Mali, Niamey Niger, Burkina, Togo, Ghana, South Africa, Gabarone Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Mecca Saudi Arabia, Baghdad Iraq, Baku Azerbaijan, all of India especially Bombay, Bhopal and New Delhi, Nepal, Bhutan, Lhasa Tibet, Bangladesh, North and South Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Brisbane, Sydney and Western Australia.

Earlier this same Saturday is a harmonious aspect of Venus with Chiron that is excellent for any body pampering especially herbal wraps, massages, hydrotherapy, chiropractic work as well as aromatherapy. Remember these delightful body experiences as novel gift certificate giving for the holidays! This is also an excellent aspect for efforts being rewarded with profound and deep healing of psychological issues involving partnerships.

This same Saturday is the alignment of Mars with the Scorpio New Moon of November 2004. Here is a brief quote from the November AstroForecast: “Keywords for this Scorpio Lunation are: A time period of eviscerating truth, honesty and integrity is at the forefront without the need for rose-tinted glasses approaches. It is also time to face past assertions that were egotistical, selfish and exclusive especially in regards to special privileges. Rage must ultimately surrender to love or else destruction and annihilation ensue.” Mars is the ancient planetary ruler of Scorpio, so this planet symbolizes the ability of the individual to assertively and aggressively engage motivation to get to the core of issues/themes of this Scorpio lunation.

Sunday the 12th is a harmonious aspect of retrograde Mercury with Jupiter that can symbolize the ability to rethink, retool and rework future aspirations, opportunities as well as educational pursuits. What may have been thought as a lost opportunity in the past reintroduces itself again with a second chance deal. Make sure all details are thoroughly and meticulously gone over with a fine toothcomb before any commitments are made. Mercury will again make this same contact, but in direct motion, later this month on the 30th so keep an eye on what happens from this date to the one at the end of December!

This same Sunday is the monthly Perigee Moon (closest approach of the Moon to Earth) that symbolizes strong intense emotions that can come easily to the conscious surface. The ability to think outside of the box that breaks old ruts and stodgy tradition is a refreshing departure for individuals ready to take a leap of faith.

Monday the 13th two planetary aspects occur with the first being a harmonious contact of Venus with Saturn that can symbolize healthy maturity, responsibility and accountability related to values, finances and partnerships. Gentle coaxing and diplomatic persuasion of timid and shy individuals to participate in social gatherings can be successful. Some individuals could experience a May/December attraction with the age difference being a minimum of 5 to 10 years.

The second aspect on this Monday is the annual conjunction of the Sun with Pluto that is the “seeding” period of these two planets with one another. New creative expressions that engage profound and deep merging, bonding, sharing and intimacy are quite effective. The ability to pierce, penetrate and solve puzzles, mysteries and conundrums is remarkable. Sexuality is in the limelight with fanatical pros and cons. These two planets oppose one another June 13, 2005 so these two dates can correspond to one another as definition, clarification and resolutions can occur then.

Tuesday the 14th retrograde Mercury makes a harmonious contact with Neptune that symbolizes the ability to make efforts to allow the imaginative side of the individual to apply practical and pragmatic planning with what I term “the imagineering side” to emerge. There is an engineer that dwells within all of us ready to tap the vivid imagination that resides in our core. Here is the potential for the individual to channel spirit for inspiration. This aspect repeats again December 26th due to Mercury’s direct motion so these dates can correspond to one another.

Thursday the 16th at 11:10am is the entrance of lovely Venus into expansive Sagittarius for an approximate 28-day journey. International concerns and global legal affairs gain attention during this Venus passage in the sign of the Archer. Financial affairs of institutions of higher learning come into the limelight. Women globally demand greater freedoms, some women break glass-ceilings and in general women overall desire greater progress and advancement with long held aspirations.

This same Thursday is the positioning of retrograde Saturn at a “critical” degree. Critical degrees in astrology seem to attract a certain celestial “punch”. Corporate executives, world and political leaders as well as fathers in general experience challenges involving security issues, debts, the inability to bridge gaps, abortion dilemmas as well as withholding and withdrawal behaviors. Outrages can occur with childbearing women experiencing abuse, rape and violence.

Friday the 17th two planetary aspects happen with the first being a harmonious contact of Mars with Chiron that symbolizes efforts made produce good results especially with any type of physical therapy and rehabilitation. Chiropractic adjustments are beneficial. Sports injuries have a better chance of healing.

The second aspect is one that involves the Sun with Jupiter that symbolizes adjustments made to counteract pessimism, worry and fret with a sense of hope, faith and optimism that the future will improve are important. A great concern can be focused on elderly fathers in particular and parents in general in regards to health issues.

Saturday the 18th is the Post-Shadow Point of Pluto that is the degree position of the station retrograde of Pluto from March 24, 2004 and now in December it has finally returned to this same degree position. Here is a quote from the March AstroForecast: “Transformation of the self through one’s targeting of personal ideals and visions is important for self-growth and expansion. Abuse in all forms will be important to purge and eliminate. Keywords associated with this degree position of Pluto are radical changes stimulate the targeting of future aspirations and goals that bring true justice. A migration of ideas serves as a catalyst for the discovery of new opportunities that lead to international cooperation and compromise. An awakening of the cellular body and its wholesome energetics takes place.”

Sunday the 19th several celestial occurrences happen. The first one is the inharmonious contact of Venus with Uranus that can symbolize sudden, unexpected and surprising discord and disharmony involving partnerships and financial matters. Some partners have the gall to act hypocritically and divisively hold double standards. “I’m going to clobber you over the head with what I think is best for you!” syndrome can ignite tempestuous walkouts, separations and at its most negative divorce potentials can abound.

The second aspect for this day involves Mars with Saturn in harmony with one another that represents the ability of individuals to have great fortitude, uncommon patience and driven perseverance with all kinds of obstacles, challenges and tribulations. An ironclad will moves mountains. At the least, count to ten before any impetuous acts without due consideration are initiated.

This same Sunday is the conjunction of Jupiter by degree to the Libra Full Moon of April 5, 2004 symbolizing what can be expanded and grown as tolerance, understanding, compromise and cooperation with all matters involving partnerships, accords and diplomacy. Here is a brief quote from the April AstroForecast on this Libra lunation: “Keywords associated with this lunation are an anchor the individual felt would always be there suddenly vanishes. Predators circle around the individual creating great anxiety and a sense of foreboding doom. A pod of dolphins arrives to the great joy of the shaken voyager.”

Lastly for this Sunday is the second monthly declinational shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities. Previous faulty strategies and tactics that were made in haste are up for healthy resolutions, improved compromises and balanced actions.

Monday the 20th at 12:28am is the station direct of Mercury thus ending the classic Murphy’s Law of miscommunications, misunderstandings and misperceptions of the past three weeks. Snags, snits and snafus with appointment schedules, transportation and delivery issues, computer glitches and electronic mishaps also come to a close. The degree position of this Mercury station refers to the same degree position Mercury held last November 11, 2004. Here is a quote from the November AstroForecast: “Keywords of this degree position are: Continual balancing of consequences and meanings in everyday activity and relationship so a healthy self-orientation occurs is important. Commonsense is an enigma for those individuals that refuse to acquire new consciousness. The question is what makes perfect sense and what fits perfectly well? An inner enigma arises to challenge what is our part in the larger and grander schemes of things. Are we the observed or are we the observers?”

Tuesday the 21st at 6:42am is the entrance of the regal Sun into the ambitious sign of Capricorn for its annual 30-day journey. This is also the ancient pagan celebration of Yule as well as the Winter Solstice of 2004. The angel associated with the Winter Solstice is Attarib and the angel of Capricorn is Haniel. This Capricorn passage of the Sun over the next 30 days symbolizes the identification of the themes of discipline, patience, perseverance, responsibility, accountability, organization, ambition and material security is important to develop. Negative Capricornian issues of pessimism, insecurity, inadequacy, rigidity, limitations and restrictions can pop up at this time.

Thursday the 23rd is the inharmonious alignment of Pluto with the US Sibly Chart’s Neptune. In a lecture I gave at the Theosophical Society here in San Antonio this past July I focused on Neptune being the astrological ruler of oil and astrological aspects being made to the United States birth Neptune. Mention was made during that lecture of impending oil price increases especially two weeks before and after August 20th being the new benchmark prices of crude worldwide. Pluto’s inharmonious contact to this US Neptune can have several implications including the following: illegal subjugation, subversion, sabotage, terrorism, undermining and betrayal associated with all petrochemical facilities and their associations. Confusion can arise as to how to address new sources of energy whether renewable resources or carbon based materials. Massive corruption can also ignite scandals within the petrochemical industries. Abandoned prosecution of international laws applicable to oil disasters can also be prevalent. Due to Pluto’s retrogradation next year this aspect will repeat again on July 14 and October 19, 2005 so all of these dates can correspond to one another. Please consider a month before and after these three dates to be significant.

Friday the 24th is a harmonious aspect of the Sun with Uranus that is excellent for last minute shopping for electronics, technology and scientific as well as engineering instruments. More conservative individuals suddenly leap at refreshing opportunities to express their more sensitive feeling and emotional side to the surprise of many. Innovative, inventive as well novel approaches to problems experience breakthroughs and epiphanies with good results.

Saturday the 25th at 10:04am is the entrance of fiery Mars into convivial Sagittarius for an approximate 45-day period. Mars’ Sagittarius transit highlights activating the expansion of discovery, exploration, philosophies, progress, truth, higher law and justice, zealous proselytizing, and long-distance journeys. There will be new frontiers to conquer and Mars is the planet ready and geared for this. All this fiery energy can lead to super-ego issues and the do-as-I-say-not-as-I-act syndrome can be a particular problem of this transit. Mobilize the heart center to honorably eschew truth, honesty and integrity.

Sunday the 26th at 9:06am is the annual Cancer Full Moon that symbolizes the surrender/letting go/completion phase of our earthly satellite. Areas to focus on are emotional insecurity, moodiness, family disharmony, dependency issues, smothering or suffocating behaviors, excessive complaining, neediness and a sense of rootlessness. Angel Amnediel is associated with this Cancer lunation. Certain individuals experience insecurity, ambiguity and inadequacy with family members especially with children, career directions as well as which strategy to emphasize with future aspirations. It’s important that these individuals break free from any type of psychological suffocation that fosters dependency. Keywords associated with this Cancer lunation are: Utilize resources to an unlimited level as long as an orientation to natural rhythms exists. Focus intelligence and skills to optimize positive experiences for self-service. You are now ready to look forward to new visions, ideals, and aspirations when you have been able to face the inner darkness allowing it to be a source of illumination.

The A*C*G Map for this Cancer Full Moon sensitizes the following geographical areas around the United States: Juneau Alaska, Southern California especially San Diego and Los Angeles, Las Vegas Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Casper Wyoming, Aspen and Denver Colorado, Taos, Santa Fe and Albuquerque New Mexico, Houston Texas, Shreveport Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The following geographical areas across the globe are sensitized by this Cancer lunation: Vancouver, Winnipeg, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Canada, Chihuahua, Mazatlan and Mexico City Mexico, Port-au-Prince Haiti, Medellín Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Recife and Sao Paolo Brazil, Reykjavik Iceland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Liverpool England, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, all of Germany especially Bremen, Munich and Berlin, Bern Switzerland, Prague the Czech Republic, Zagreb Croatia, Venice, Florence, Palermo and Rome Italy, Tiranë Albania, Athens Greece, Crete, most of the Western half of Africa especially Tripoli Libya, Dakar Senegal, all of Egypt, Khartoum Sudan, Addis Ababa Ethiopia, Somalia, Madagascar, Kabul Afghanistan, Karachi Pakistan, Bombay India, Myanmar, Bangkok Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Sapporo and Tokyo Japan, New Guinea as well as most of Australia especially Alice Springs, Adelaide and Melbourne.

This same Sunday is the change of signs of the Lunar Nodal Axes with the North Node going into the sign of Aries and the South Node going into the sign of Libra for an approximate year and a half journey. The last recent time we saw the Nodes in these two cardinal signs was March 1986 until November 1987. Not only will Aries and Libra be strongly impacted, Capricorn and Cancer as the other cardinal ruled signs would also be pulled in as well. All cardinal signs in astrology are very oriented to actions, initiatives and relationships. The following time periods include all individuals born under this nodal configuration: late August 1967 to mid-April 1969; late January 1949 to late July 1950; late July 1930 to late December 1931 as well as early December 1911 to early June 1913. The following themes/issues are related to the Lunar Nodes: fate and destiny, the past as negative habits or positive gifts from either previous life incarnations or the present incarnation, how to create a support group as well as what direction to take in life is important. All of these time periods from the 20th century had strong associations with important movements and causes on a social level that had great impact on the collective.

This same Sunday is the harmonious aspect of Mercury with Neptune. Please refer to the previous paragraph of Tuesday the 14th to understand this aspect.

Monday the 27th two planetary aspects occur plus some celestial alignments as well. First is a harmonious contact of Venus with Neptune that is excellent for artistically inclined individuals that can use some good inspiration. Vibrant expansion of spiritual ideals and coordinated efforts for the peace movement are optimized.

The second aspect is the opposition of Saturn with Chiron that symbolizes the clarification and definition of what was “seeded” when they were last conjunct one another April 12, 1966. That was a momentous time period all over the globe especially the conflagration of Vietnam as a hot button issue as well as other dominant issues of the mid 1960’s. Especially with the rancorous US elections of 2004 about Vietnam being ignited in the presidential campaign perhaps it is time to define the true healing potential of that time era in the 20th century. It is time all individuals make healthy attempts to bridge the gaps that were introduced back then. Issues of guilt, shame and blame need to be buried honorably, with utmost respect and a calmly accepted approach of reconciliation facilitates solidarity. These two heavenly bodies will be conjunct one another again June 2028.

This same Monday is the alignment of the North Node with the Aries Solar Eclipse of April 19, 2004 and here is a quote from the April AstroForecast: “This current Aries Solar Eclipse is strongly associated with the legislative branch of government. Keywords for this Aries lunation are a provincial mindset is cracked open to reveal maggots that are delightfully playing in games of empty-headedness and gullibility. Where did we as a society go off course? Are we so caught up with “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” trivia that debases our depth of soul and breadth of intelligence? A day of reckoning is before us all.” The North Node in ancient astrology is all about fate and destiny and in modern astrology it is associated with the creation of a support group and what direction in life is necessary.

Finally for this Monday is the Apogee Moon that symbolizes the ability to cultivate objectivity and impartiality with emotions/feelings. Inclement weather and/or natural disasters can have a frustrating and disrupting impact on real estate matters, farms, agri-business as well as domestic suppliers.

Tuesday the 28th is the last conjunction of the year of Mercury with Venus that symbolizes harmonious communications that benefit partners as well as financial matters. The ability to see and understand two sides of any story provides balance and objectivity. This is an excellent time to plan for travel that emphasizes resorts or spas.

Thursday the 30th witnesses two harmonious aspects with the first one between Venus and Jupiter. These two planets are currently in each other’s ruled sign, Venus in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Libra; this is called mutual reception in astrology and in ancient astrology was considered the most beneficial and the most potent. All matters pertaining to finances, partnerships as well as mutual values through cooperative and expansive efforts do well. Opportunities to create a “win-win” situation for all are desired.

The second harmonious aspect involves Mercury with Jupiter. Please refer to the previous paragraph of this same aspect of Sunday the 14th to understand this aspect.

Friday the 31st is an inharmonious aspect involving Mars with Uranus that can symbolize volatility, violence, civil unrest, accidents of all kinds, natural disasters as well as freakish weather. Torture, false imprisonment, scathing hypocritical attacks as well as deranged/delusional behaviors can shock the public. Drunken drivers can be a menace especially on the interstate highway system. This aspect can last a week before and after this date. I wish I had a better aspect to work with for New Year’s Eve but that’s the way the astrological cookie crumbles folks! The Moon is in Virgo this day and night so subdued simplicity and true gratitude expressed for health and well-being are significant as a positive focus.

I appreciate and thank each and every one of you who have given me tremendous support over this past year! May great blessings of Peace and Prosperity be yours and for your loved ones over the closing of this current year and the exciting New Year that awaits us all. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

“The world goes on because a few men believe in it utterly,
accept it unquestioningly;
they underwrite it with their lives.”
