AstroForecast December 2003

by Lance Rodriguez

All times Central Time Zone

The majestic Sun is traveling the sign of Sagittarius as the month of December begins. Angel Anael is the governing angel of the month of December and angel Adnachiel is the governing angel of the sign of Sagittarius. The positive expressions of the sign of the Archer are optimism, faith, growth, expansion, moral objectivity, ethical and principled behaviors, tolerance, healthy future-orientation and positive development of opportunities. Negative expressions include excess, over-indulgence, exaggeration, hypocrisy, self-righteousness, negative judgment, intolerance, arrogance and overboard tendencies.

Monday the 1st is a harmonious aspect between Mercury and Uranus that symbolizes breakthroughs involving teamwork, coalitions, politics and communities. Foresight can be very powerful with this aspect as long as it is implemented. New technological, engineering and/or scientific discoveries can also be announced.

This same Monday is the opposition of the Sun to the Solar Eclipse chart of May 30, 2003. Certain individuals are meant to clarify and define proper respect to those persons in positions of power and authority. How can ethics, principles and honor be rightfully identified?

Tuesday the 2nd at 3:34pm is the entrance of fleet-footed Mercury into the sign of Capricorn for an extended stay in this zodiac sign from its usual 14-day journey due to its retrograde motion later in the month. While in this sign Mercury orients to mental discipline that can be acquired readily and late-night ponderings that have practical outcomes. Reticent communications develop and sometimes the less said works favorably under this Mercury transit. Learn to bide your time while being very observant to other individual’s behaviors. Uncanny timing is Capricorn’s forte. “I wasted time and now time wastes me” William Shakespeare.

This same Tuesday is the ecliptic shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities. Relationships can experience disharmony especially one partner’s more selfish inclinations that clash with the other partner’s sense of propriety and modesty. Isolation tendencies clash with spontaneity.

Wednesday the 3rd is a harmonious contact of the Sun with Neptune that is excellent for mystical endeavors, daydreaming, artistic inclinations and inspiration. Meditations for universal peace, ideal love and divine oneness are also recommended. Actions involving charity, mercy, compassion and philanthropy are highlighted as well

Thursday the 4th is an adjustment aspect involving the Sun with Saturn that symbolizes serious considerations and subsequent actions associated with elderly family members at a distance will be important. Political leaders may have to backtrack with foreign policies. Certain individuals disagree with moral factionalism.

Saturday the 6th is the annual opposition of Venus to Saturn. These two planets were last conjunct one another previously July 8, 2003 which was their “seeding” period and now through their opposition to one another they are meant to define and clarify what was “seeded” last July. Here is a quote from the July AstroForecast that sheds light with this December opposition: “As long as discipline, accountability, perseverance and responsibility have been applied in a sustained manner with financial affairs, partnerships and values will a gradual process of stabilization and security begin to take hold. Those companies or individuals that lack these Saturnian qualities will be strongly tested and stripped to bare bone essence. The following industries will be strongly affected: the housing markets, domestic suppliers, farming and agri-business, child care services and products, kitchen cooking supplies and water resources. Legal issues can arise as well especially for those ill prepared to make drastic changes.”

This same Saturday is the Pre-Shadow Point of Pluto, which is the same degree position Pluto will hold when it will be station direct next August 30, 2004. These two dates may have correspondence to one another. Secret caches of money and investments as well as bribes, kickbacks and hush money may become potential disasters for legislators, petrochemical and pharmaceutical lobbyists as well as shipping magnates. Keywords associated with this degree position of Pluto are miracles await the faithful. The ordinary becomes the extraordinary due to the allowance of radiance to imbue all of life.

Sunday the 7th is the Apogee Moon (farthest distance of the Moon to Earth) that symbolizes the ability to cultivate objective and impartial emotions/feelings. Nervous and restless behaviors are due more to rigid, overly structured and limiting beliefs and fears. Innovative and original thinking break these suffocating behaviors.

The annual Gemini Full Moon occurs on Monday the 8th at 2:37pm that symbolizes the surrender/release/completion phase of the Moon. Address the issues of too much scatteredness, distraction, miscommunications, inconsistencies, negative dualities, gossip and mental fragmentation that can lead to nervous exhaustion. Angel Dirachiel is associated with this lunation and can help with the release of these negative issues. The Astro*Carto*Graphy Map for this Gemini Full Moon sensitizes the following geographic areas: in the United States direct hits with the following cities Eagle Pass Texas, Pierre South Dakota, Bakersfield California, and Waterbury Connecticut. Around the globe the following areas are sensitized: direct hits with Monterey Mexico, Krakow Poland, Sofia Bulgaria, Dakar Senegal, Algiers Algeria and Sydney Australia. Keywords for this lunation are superficial exteriors come crashing down due to the onslaught of realism and unabated pragmatism. Coy and crackpot behaviors are least tolerated especially in intimate partnerships.

Wednesday the 10th is the annual conjunction of Venus with Chiron that symbolizes healing energies that harmonize partnerships, financial affairs, and values. This is the “seeding” period of these two celestial bodies. They will oppose one another next August 29, 2004. Particular areas of interest for this aspect will focus on improved communications that bridge previous gaps of boredom, distraction, inadequacies and lack of healthy stimulation.

This same Wednesday is the inharmonious contact of the Sun with Jupiter that can symbolize any individual that suddenly hops up on a soap box and becomes too preachy, moralistic and a “I’m going to clobber you over the head with what I think is best for you” syndrome. Strong negative dismissive behaviors can also run rampant. Boundary breaches can also occur with strong negative repercussions.

Thursday the 11th is the most harmonious aspect especially in classical astrology, which is the harmonious contact of Venus with Jupiter. Classically this aspect is best for marriages, business partnerships, travel and the purchase of luxury items. Stocks and investments involving health corporations may witness an upswing. Plastic surgery may also be beneficial or go well.

This same Wednesday is the conjunction of the Sun with Pluto, which is the “seeding” period of these two planets. Potential announcements of mergers, acquisitions or hostile takeovers can occur with media corporations, the Internet, information agencies and bookstores. Funding for libraries can also be of concern. Deep and profound communications take place. These two planets will oppose one another Jun 11, 2004 so this date in December and the June 2004 date can be linked to one another.

Saturday the 13th is the annual opposition of Mercury with Saturn that can symbolize the definition and clarification of ideas, plans, communications, negotiations and contracts that need serious and practical solutions as well as successful results. Behaviors that would hamper these applications would be pessimism, nitpicking, anal-retentive micro-processing and excessive worry or fret. Inadequate facts and lack of thorough details can undermine as well.

Monday the 15th is the final opposition in 2003 of Pluto to the Solar Eclipse chart of June 10, 2002. Previous oppositions of Pluto to the Solar Eclipse of June 2002 in this present year occurred in March and April. Here is a brief quote from the June 2002 AstroForecast about that Solar Eclipse chart: “Communications dynamics in partnerships are strongly emphasized whether communications breakdowns or breakthroughs will be witnessed. Pluto, Saturn and the Lunar Nodes are importantly aligned with this lunation so karmic themes/issues that allow the opportunity to bring about transformation are highlighted. Bridges and tunnels grab attention as security risks. The Astro*Carto*Graphy Map of this eclipse highly emphasizes New Delhi, India and Islamabad, Pakistan in Asia. The entire eastern seaboard of the United States is also strongly emphasized as well. In the Americas Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Cuba and the Bahamas and surrounding islands are also significant.” Pluto in opposition aspect to this same Solar Eclipse chart requires great definition and clarification associated with how power, resources, will power, determination and persistence will be shared, merged or bonded will be an important focus.

Tuesday the 16th at 7:24am is the entrance of fiery Mars into its own ruled sign of Aries for an approximate 45-day journey. Mars is quite active this third week of December 2003 as will be discussed later. Mars in Aries can symbolize military maneuvers and new initiatives with the arming of a nation gather focus. Potentials for military breaches are surveyed. Relationships tend to revert to more primal urges and needs especially in regards to self-protection. Assertiveness and aggressiveness become focused. Contentiousness, defensiveness and conflict impairment challenge many individuals. James A. Garfield describes Aries best with the following quote: “A pound of pluck is worth a ton of luck!”

Wednesday the 17th is a busy celestial day for astrology. First of all at 10:02am of this day is the station retrograde of Mercury, launching the classic Mercury retrograde Murphy’s Law associated with snags, snafus and snits about schedules, delivery systems, transportation, mechanical breakdowns and computer viruses or dysfunctions over the next three weeks. The classic Mercury retrograde is also a time period to review, reevaluate, reanalyze or reassess documents, contracts, important signatures, learning or teaching materials, and important communications. Be sure to back up all important computer related materials before this retrograde of Mercury by at least a week. The first two weeks of the following signs are strongly affected by this retrograde in descending order: Capricorn, Aries, Libra and Cancer. Partnerships in general can be strongly affected especially perceptions of unfairness, injustice and inappropriateness that leads to overly emotional reactions. Archconservative issues can also arise that are tantamount to extreme narrow-mindedness. Draconian measures can be instituted with the potential for backlashes. Interestingly enough the degree position of this Mercury retrograde is the same degree position of the Capricorn New Moon from January 2nd earlier this year. Here is a brief quote from the January AstroForecast 2003 about this earlier lunation: “True understanding of Capricorn energy is best embodied by a quote from Charles H. Spurgeon: “By perseverance the snail reached the ark”. The safety and security of heads of state are extremely vital. Governmental responses and reactions to maternal rights, reproductive rights and children’s rights are important as well. Keywords associated with this Capricorn lunation are all tangible goals are rooted deeply within spirituality otherwise the crass forcing of these goals exacts a terrible toll. Positive force and energy work well with those who are compassionate and giving.” The A*C*G Map lines for this retrograde of Mercury sensitizes the following geographic areas: in the US direct hits with the following cities San Diego and Los Angeles California, Las Vegas Nevada, Salt Lake City Utah, Helena and Butte Montana, New York City, Virginia Beach Virginia, Honolulu Hawaii, Barrow Alaska and indirect hits with Miami Florida. Worldwide the following cities are sensitized with direct hits San Juan Puerto Rico, Caracas Venezuela, La Paz Bolivia, Santiago Chile, Belem and Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Marseille France, Berlin Germany, Budapest Hungary, Belgrade Yugoslavia, Sofia Bulgaria, Riga Latvia, Minsk Belorussia, Kiev Ukraine, Cairo Egypt, Mogadishu Somalia, Perth and Darwin Australia. The keywords of this station of Mercury are the same as for the Capricorn lunation previously mentioned.

Pluto reaches it Post-Shadow Point on this same Wednesday that indicates the same degree position it held when it last went retrograde earlier this year on March 22nd. Here is a brief quote from the March AstroForecast 2003 that can shed light on this degree position of Pluto: “Transformation of the self through one’s targeting of personal ideals and visions is important for self-growth and expansion. Abuse in all forms will be important to purge and eliminate. Keywords associated with this degree position of Pluto are in one’s search and striving for the ideal and visionary sometimes faith and belief attract miracles in life. Just as wine is consecrated and symbolic of the blood of the Christ, one’s inner faith and belief is the symbolic blood of a true disciple’s life. This acceptance is what stimulates the individual to acknowledge that life here on Earth is meant to be understood as the Divine material expression of ecstasy.”

Mars on this same Wednesday is conjunct the degree position of the Aries New Moon of March 20, 2004 so these two dates may have much in common with one another. The Aries New Moon of March 2004 is at the first degree of Aries and Mars is the natural ruler of this first of the three fire signs of astrology. Mars also is making an ecliptic shift on this day so new actions, new directions and new pathways are being trail blazed. Separate and/or collaborative strategies emerge with strong vigor and assertiveness either to the dismay or delight of individuals.

The second ecliptic shift of the Moon also occurs on this Wednesday that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities. Certain individuals act out robotic or automatonic behaviors that bewilder other persons. Cold and frigid responses to sexual intimacy can also emerge.

Sunday the 21st at 12:32am is the entrance of aesthetic Venus into the sign of Aquarius for an approximate 28-day journey. Venus engages her more cause-oriented, social side through this sojourn. Teamwork, unity and the love of novel approaches to bring about mediation and compromise are strong then. Healthy emotional detachment can be fostered especially in partnerships.

The Sun and Uranus exchange harmony with one another on this same Sunday. The targeting of future aspirations that seek strong coalition building especially with social agendas can be very exciting. Creative individuals experience keen insights that have breakthrough potentials.

The Winter Solstice of 2003 occurs Monday the 22nd at 1:04am when the majestic Sun enters the sign of Capricorn. This is also the ancient pagan celebration of Yule. The angel associated with the Winter Solstice is Attarib and the angel of Capricorn is Haniel. This Capricorn passage of the Sun over the next 30 days symbolizes the identification of the themes of discipline, patience, perseverance, responsibility, accountability, organization, ambition and material security is important to develop. Negative Capricornian issues of pessimism, insecurity, inadequacy, rigidity, limitations and restrictions can pop up at this time.

This same Monday is the Perigee Moon (closest approach of the Moon to Earth) that symbolizes strong intense emotions that can come easily to the conscious surface. Minor emotional irritations can arise in partnerships due negligent oversights involving small expenditures that add up over the long run. Procrastination comes at a cost.

Tuesday the 23rd at 3:43am is the annual Capricorn New Moon that symbolizes the new beginnings/new projects/new initiatives of the Moon. The following are positive expressions of the original Sea-Goat Capricorn: patience, perseverance, industriousness, self-discipline and self-diligence, accountability, responsibility, sobriety, uncanny timing and healthy skeptical reality. Angel Geliel is associated with this lunation. This lunation is strongly concerned with all financial matters and what steps are being taken to stabilize and secure these areas. On a deeper level this lunation is also seeking secure foundations for personal values that enhance one’s self-esteem, self-worth, self-dignity, self-appreciation and healthy self-deservedness. The A*C*G Map lines of this Capricorn lunation sensitize the following geographic areas worldwide: Santiago Chile, San Francisco Argentina, Belem Brazil, Inverness Scotland, Palermo Italy, Warsaw Poland, Riga Latvia, Sveg Sweden, Ankara Turkey, Nicosia Cyprus, Jerusalem Israel, Djibouti Djibouti, Hanoi Viet Nam, Hong Kong China, Seoul South Korea, Darwin, Alice Springs, Melbourne and Canberra Australia. Keywords associated with this Capricorn lunation are chaos and destruction begin to besiege weak structures and false ridden beliefs based on shaky and superficial truths. These weak structures and superficial truths are crumbling rapidly before the onslaught of new awarenesses that lead to more enlightenment. New visions arise and a new sense of pride is cultivated.

Christmas Day the Moon is in people-oriented Aquarius when healthy emotional detachment can let bygones be bygones. A harmonious aspect between Venus and Mars is excellent for letting healthy compromises win the day. The smoothing over of ruffled feathers will create a win-win situation for all parties involved.

Friday the 26th is a Mercury-oriented day as the planet of communications makes a harmonious and an inharmonious aspect. The inharmonious aspect can be rife with contentious arguments that witness willful displays of obnoxious behaviors as Mercury and Mars duke it out. Later in the evening Mercury is conjunct the Sun that is excellent for the identification of discipline, patience and perseverance especially the “Silence is golden and few spoken words are like silver” saying. Sometimes things less said allow the individual to be more observant that will be relevant for later communications.

Monday the 29th is an inharmonious aspect of the Sun with Mars that can symbolize strong ego conflicts, a “might-makes-right” attitude, “It’s my way or the highway” approaches and power/control issues. Excesses and over-exaggerations can careen out of control with these behaviors. Fear complexes can stifle spontaneous solutions that pop up suddenly. Care needs to be taken that these negative actions/reactions topple what little cooperation can be forged.

Tuesday the 30th at 3:14am is the re-entrance of Uranus into the sign of Pisces that was originally witnessed earlier this March. Uranus now closes its approximate 7-year passage of the sign Aquarius that it naturally rules in astrology. Uranus will now be deeply embedded in this last sign of the zodiac, Pisces, for the remaining 7-year passage of this most universal, mystical and inspirational sign of the zodiac. Uranus in astrology is known as the Awakener that induces true enlightenment and Uranus introduces through rapid accelerated short-term changes the true consciousness of freedom and liberation that breaks any and all individuals from past rigidity, past restrictions and past limitations. If the open welcome of these rapid changes are deliberately or unconsciously withheld, the more chaotic, disruptive, upheaval and turmoil-filled tendencies of Uranus will “shock and awe” individuals into the new Uranian paradigm. The Bach Flower remedy associated with Pisces is the Rock Rose that can be useful to individuals that can use this alternative therapy. Caution must be exercised if an individual is an alcoholic as alcohol is contained in Bach Flower remedies. Rock Rose is one of the ingredients of the Bach Flower Rescue Remedy. Water Violet is the Bach Flower remedy associated with Aquarius, which is naturally ruled by Uranus so if this remedy is also required use it as well. Please consult your physician if there are any questions about personal medications used in tandem with these remedies. The A*C*G Map lines for this Uranus ingress Pisces chart sensitizes the following geographic areas: in the US direct hits with New Orleans Louisiana, Nashville Tennessee, Bowling Green and Louisville Kentucky as well Detroit Michigan. Worldwide the following areas are sensitized: San Juan Puerto Rico, Santiago Chile, Caracas Venezuela, Riga Latvia, Brest Belorussia, Warsaw and Krakow Poland, Budapest Hungary, Tripoli Libya, Sofia Bulgaria, Kishinev Moldavia, Athens Greece, Ankara Turkey, Nicosia Cyprus, Khartoum Sudan, Cape Town South Africa, Bombay India, Mandalay and Rangoon Myanmar, Hanoi Viet Nam, Hong Kong China, and Adelaide Australia. If any of you want the March AstroForecast 2003 to be e-mailed to you that contains the lengthy explanation of Uranus in Pisces (almost two printed pages!) please e-request it and I will send it to you.

Harmonious Venus is conjunct inspirational Neptune on this same Tuesday. This is an excellent aspect for any community oriented fund drives and charities to help the disadvantaged, the poor, the abused and victims. Art and beauty are uniquely expressed and appreciated. Romantic interludes can be intoxicating and exhilarating. Compassion, mercy and forgiveness are relished in partnerships.

Mercury repeats an earlier aspect with Uranus that occurred on the 1st of December due to its current retrograde motion on this same Tuesday. Please refer to the paragraph of the 1st of December to glean information on this aspect with Uranus. Tuesday the 30th at 1:52pm is the retrograde entrance of Mercury back into the sign of Sagittarius until it returns to Capricorn in mid-January 2004.

New Year’s Eve witnesses an inharmonious aspect between the Sun and Saturn that symbolizes the definition and clarification processes of these two planets especially in regards to discipline, patience, perseverance, confidence, creativity and speculation. Dysfunctional behaviors will include the following: fear mongering, straitjacket approaches, “24/7 I want to have you under my thumb” syndromes, melodrama, self-absorption, self-deprecation and inadequacy issues. Caution needs to be applied with rebellious behaviors or violent outbursts with individuals in positions of power and authority, as there will be little tolerance shown with a heavy price paid for these behaviors.

The Moon enters grounded, luxury oriented, sensual loving and value appreciative Taurus at 11:02pm right before the stroke of midnight in the Central Time Zone and time zones west before the midnight hour. Taurus is a strongly committed earth sign of the zodiac so all New Year resolutions can start off with the right track of one’s 110 percent commitment, trust and loyalty to these resolutions.

I appreciate and thank each and every one of you who have given me tremendous support over this past year! May great blessings of Peace and Prosperity be yours and for your loved ones over the closing of this current year and the exciting New Year that awaits us all. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

“If sunbeams were weapons of war we would have had solar energy long ago.”
