AstroForecast January 2005

by Lance Rodriguez

All times Central Time Zone

Saturday the 1st is the annual Perihelion of Earth (Earth’s closest approach to its own Sun) that symbolizes a “seeding” period for Earth as “stellar” consciousness is downloaded to the masses. Solar flare activities will be important to observe if any occur.

Sunday the 2nd is the bi-monthly declinational shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities. Legal actions, foreign relief, sports matters, international diplomacy as well as the travel industry experience stimulation and support.

Monday the 3rd is the annual conjunction of Venus with Pluto that symbolizes a “seeding” period of these two planets’ energies. New far-reaching perspectives of healthy sharing within all relationships that deepen truth, honesty and loyalty are important. The cherishing and treasuring of universal freedoms and universal values are equally important. These two planets will oppose one another next May 29, 2005 so whatever is being “seeded” now can be defined and clarified then.

Tuesday the 4th is the final conjunction of Mercury with Pluto that, due to Mercury’s recent retrograde motion initially occurred November 20, 2004 as well as December 7, 2004. All three of these dates can correspond to one another. This Mercury conjunct Pluto can symbolize earnest investigations and powerful research. Good intelligence news can come to the surface. Extreme fanatical viewpoints are overdue for healthy measures of tolerance to create new bridges of vigorous communications. These two planets will oppose one another next June 7, 2005 so whatever is being “seeded” now will be fully revealed, defined and clarified then.

Wednesday the 5th two adjustment aspects occur involving first Venus with Saturn and second Mercury with Saturn. The Venus – Saturn aspect focuses on all relationships, legal matters, financial affairs and values that are due adjustments. The Mercury – Saturn aspect involves mental adjustments especially associated with narrow-mindedness, inflexibility, fear, as well as pessimism that have caused breakdowns in communications.

Friday the 7th several celestial occurrences happen. First of all there are five planets in zodiacal sequence all in the sign of Sagittarius: the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and Pluto. Five of ten astrological planets are in the sign that symbolizes internationalism, foreign peoples, foreign lands, the global village concept as well as international cooperation. Especially with the recent tsunami tragedy in Asia the mobilization of relief for these hard hit areas can really take off.

This same Friday is the Post-Shadow Point of Mercury, which is the same degree position that Mercury held when it was retrograde last November 30, 2004. These two dates can correspond to one another. Here is a brief quote from the November 2004 AstroForecast about this degree position: “The current Mercury retrograde lesson is that every individual has a very powerful impact in what is being communicated to another person whether it is acknowledged consciously or unconsciously. The negative side of this can be construed as suspicion, distrust, manipulation and disturbing secrecy. Keywords for this Mercury station are: A new dawn arises for the horizon of mankind; can an expanded vision of true freedom and justice be shared on a universal level? Can the temptation of past differences with all of its unresolved animosities be finally released? The deeper uncharted and undiscovered universal love can be tapped thus releasing new streams of consciousness that spark evolutionary growth.”

Chiron on this same Friday also has its own Post-Shadow Point that refers to its retrograde station of May 2, 2004 so these two dates can correspond to one another. Here is a brief quote from the May 2004 AstroForecast: “Corporate executives, business owners and the executive branch of government are strongly in the spotlight especially with any and all issues associated with misinformation/disinformation and cavalier behaviors that are viewed as being superficial and insensitive. Keywords associated with this Chiron station retrograde are true reconciliation involves both the mind and heart in a state of integrity and sincerity. The drawback to this reconciliation is the savage sabotage of the negatively skeptical, doubting Thomas individual.”

An inharmonious aspect involving the Sun with Jupiter also occurs on this same Friday that symbolizes some individuals biting off a lot more than they can chew, over-extension of the self, exaggerations, excesses and over-indulgences. Some individuals can get caught up in moralistic preaching, hypocritical behaviors as well as double standards. Strong negative opinions as well as strong negative judgment can also be a problem.

Sunday the 9th at 10:56am is the entrance of lovely Venus into the sign of Capricorn for the following 28-day journey. Relationships, finances and values will be under the scrutiny of reality-check Capricorn. Solidifying security and commitments in the above-mentioned areas would be a positive focus. Release the need for worry and knee-jerk reactions to fretful situations that entangle these Venus ruled areas of life.

Sunday the 9th 10:09pm Mercury quickly follows up on Venus and enters the sign of Capricorn for the next 3 weeks symbolizing this planet’s orientation to mental discipline that can be acquired readily and late-night ponderings that have practical outcomes. Reticent communications develop and sometimes the less said works favorably under this Mercury transit. Learn to bide your time while being very observant to other individual’s behaviors. Uncanny timing is Capricorn’s forte. “I wasted time and now time wastes me” William Shakespeare.

Monday the 10th at 6:03am is the annual Capricorn New Moon that symbolizes the new beginnings/new projects/new initiatives of the Moon. The following are positive expressions of the original Sea-Goat Capricorn: patience, perseverance, industriousness, self-discipline and self-diligence, accountability, responsibility, sobriety, uncanny timing and healthy skeptical reality. This Capricorn New Moon is what I would term a “Super New Moon” due to the Moon being Perigee (closest approach of the Moon to Earth) that symbolizes strong intense emotions that can come easily to the conscious surface. The entire year of 2005 has only two “Super New Moons” and this is the closest approach time wise of these two for the entire year. This Capricorn lunation is excellent for all endeavors that emphasize individual improvement especially with the Enrichment of one’s reputation, respect and standing within one’s professional community. Angel Requiel is associated with this lunation.

The Astro*Carto*Graphy Map of this Capricorn lunation sensitizes the following United States geographical areas: San Diego California, Las Vegas Nevada, Salt Lake City Utah, Billings Montana, Aspen and Denver Colorado, Cheyenne Wyoming, Minneapolis – St. Paul Minnesota, Des Moines Iowa, Kansas City, Shreveport Louisiana, Houston Texas, Boston Massachusetts as well as Caribou and Portland Maine.

The world geographical areas that are sensitized to this Capricorn New Moon are the following: Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Labrador and Newfoundland Canada, Hermosillo and Guadalajara Mexico, Nicaragua, San Jose Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica, Cuba, the Bahamas, Rio de Janeiro Brazil, Iceland, Lisbon Portugal, Galway Ireland, Paris, Limoges, Toulouse and Marseille France, Madrid and Barcelona Spain, Gorzow Wielkopolski, Gorzow Slaski and Krakow Poland, Copenhagen Denmark, all of the Scandinavian countries of Finland, Norway and Sweden, St. Petersburg and Moscow Russia, the majority of the Western African nations, Djibouti, Mogadishu Somalia, Tehran Iran, Tashkent Uzbekistan, New Delhi, Bhopal, and Calcutta India, Mandalay and Rangoon Myanmar, Indonesia, as well as all of New Zealand especially Wellington.

Wednesday the 12th is a harmonious aspect between Venus and Uranus that can symbolize concerted efforts to solidify, manifest and realize long-held dreams, ideals and visions that involve relationships, finances and values can have healthy tangible results. The ability to craft traditional as well as innovative approaches creates a hybrid model of breakthroughs in these areas. New friendships begun now seem to do well over the long run.

Thursday the 13th is a harmonious contact involving Mercury with Uranus that can be excellent for communications breakthroughs, innovative ideas, epiphanies, sudden flashes of intuition and strong intellectual stimulation. Medical, technological, engineering and/or scientific inventions help humanity to improve life.

This same Thursday is the opposition of the Sun with Saturn that symbolizes the definition and clarification period of these two planets’ conjunction “seeding period” from last July 8, 2004. Some individuals experience a tug and pull associated with career matters versus family matters. Another area of importance will involve budgetary concerns.

Finally on this Thursday is the conjunction of Mercury with Venus that symbolizes harmonious communications, sales that benefit the bottom line as well as treasured information. This is the first conjunction of a total of four these two planets have with one another during the 2005-year. The other dates are March 29, 2005, June 27, 2005 and July 9, 2005.

Saturday the 15th is a harmonious alignment of Mars with Neptune that is excellent for the protection, defense and initiatives that can be launched to help charitable causes, political coalitions and legislative agenda. Active participation for prayer, meditation, contemplation, visualization and affirmation is highlighted. I consider this alignment as a “Spiritual Warrior” energy.

This same Saturday is the bi-monthly declinational shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities. Group consciousness, team approaches, priorities and prime objectives are important to cultivate. Motivational inspiration is brought to the forefront.

Sunday the 16th is the annual conjunction of the Sun with Chiron that symbolizes the “seeding” period of these two celestial bodies. Strong identification with all healing paradigms such as massage therapy, hydrotherapy, chiropractic, aromatherapy as well as reiki is beneficial. The Sun will oppose Chiron on July 23, 2005 so whatever is “seeded” now in January can be fully define and clarified later in July. The purging of criticism, resentments, remorse, bitterness as well as regrets from the past will facilitate balance and ease in one’s life.

Wednesday the 19th at 5:22pm is the entrance of the regal Sun into egalitarian Aquarius for its annual 30-day journey in the sign of the Water Bearer. Aquarius symbolizes community, brotherhood/sisterhood, liberation, uniqueness, healthy emotional detachment, teamwork, politics, humanitarianism, alliances, innovation and originality. Negative expressions of Aquarius are rebelliousness, chaos, accident proneness, emotional aloofness, disruption, being emotionally distant and cold, cynicism as well as callousness. The angel of Aquarius is Gambiel.

This same Wednesday is an adjustment aspect involving Saturn with Pluto. Foreign security concerns can be highlighted. Rampant health issues can arise that can be alarming and disconcerting. On a personal level issues associated with family members that have raised concerns about over expenditures, overboard tendencies as well pie-in-the-sky attitudes collide with reality.

Friday the 21st is a harmonious contact of Mars with Jupiter that can symbolize those individuals that have complete faith and belief in oneself are bold enough to either search for or create their own opportunity and thus pave their own destiny. This aspect symbolizes a “can-do” attitude combined with a “gung-ho” attitude. This is sort of a “fortunate action” syndrome that means actions that are taken due to these attitudes can lead fortunate consequences. This Mars – Jupiter combo can be extended to include a week before this date as well as a week after.

Saturday the 22nd is an inharmonious contact between Mercury and Jupiter that can symbolize certain individuals jumping to conclusions without all the facts being assembled or analyzed properly. The other way of looking at this inharmonious aspect is how some individuals refuse to see the “tree” and only wants to look at the “forest” instead. In other words, some individuals only want to look at the broadest, panoramic view and refuse to deal with or acknowledge the small, important details of life. The details are considered “trifles” and later this devaluation of details glaringly becomes the downfall of ill-considered contracts, negotiations, communications or important signatures.

Sunday the 23rd is the monthly Apogee Moon that symbolizes the ability to cultivate objectivity and impartiality with emotions/feelings. Elderly members of the family, especially women in particular, that are experiencing health concerns require sober deliberations of the course of actions to be considered in regards to home care or assisted living care. Some members of the family with life-threatening health issues may eventually have to be put into hospice care.

Monday the 24th is an inharmonious aspect involving Venus with Jupiter that can symbolize compensatory behaviors of certain individuals that act on shopping binges or food binges. These binges are the classic “shop till you drop” and the “fork the pork” syndromes. These are all extravagances due to relationship issues, devaluation/invalidation processes, fears, inadequacies, insecurity as well as inflexibility.

Tuesday the 25th at 4:32am is the annual Leo Full Moon that symbolizes the letting go/surrender/completion phase of the Moon over the next two weeks. The following negative behaviors can be released with this lunation: arrogance, false vanity and pride, power issues involving control with the “I-have-you-under-my-thumb syndrome”, authoritarianism, melodrama and temperamental attitudes. Some issues to address with this Leo lunation are relationships especially a partner starving for attention and/or demanding excessive attention. Issues of dominance and control can also careen partnerships into chaos. Angel Ardifiel is associated with this lunation. Keywords associated with this Leo Full Moon are: Blend the best contributions from the past with the best of what the future has to offer. The beauty, symmetry and synchronicity of the universe is availing itself to mankind for eventual development.

The A*C*G Map of this Leo lunation sensitizes the following US geographical areas: Nome, Barrow, Anchorage and Fairbanks Alaska, Hawaii, Minneapolis – St. Paul Minnesota, Des Moines Iowa, Shreveport Louisiana, as well as Little Rock Arkansas.

Around the world the following areas are sensitized: Labrador and Newfoundland Canada, the Caribbean Island of Hispaniola, Medellín and Bogotá Colombia, Quito Ecuador, Lima Peru, Chile, La Paz Bolivia, Eastern Venezuela, far Western and far Eastern Brazil, Surinam, Iceland, Scotland, Birmingham and Lancaster England, Madrid and Barcelona Spain, Bremen and Frankfurt Germany, Bern Switzerland, Zagreb Croatia, Corsica, Sardinia, Palermo, the southern boot of Italy, all of the Scandinavian countries, St. Petersburg and Vladivostok Russia, Ankara Turkey, Nicosia Cyprus, most of the entire continent of Africa, Jerusalem Israel, Salalah Oman, Calcutta India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Bangkok Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia especially Jakarta, Borneo, Port Moresby Papua New Guinea, Hanoi Vietnam, Lanzhou and Hong Kong China, the Philippines, southern Japan, Ulan Bator Mongolia, Edmonton, Sydney and the western half of Australia especially Perth, as well as all of New Zealand.

This same Tuesday is the opposition of Mercury with Saturn that is the clarification and definition of their conjunction to one another from last June 26, 2004. These two dates can correspond to one another. The negative expressions of this alignment are narrow-mindedness, pessimism, cold emotions that contribute to breakdowns in communications, rigid thinking that keeps an individual within the box syndrome as well as problems of fathers with their teenage children. The lack of mental discipline and maturity can also be a problem.

Thursday the 27th several celestial alignments occur with the first one involving an adjustment aspect of Mars with Saturn that can symbolize impulsive, overly aggressive as well as overboard-ambitious tendencies that confront negative skepticism, dourness, unfriendly sternness, as well as stick in the mud attitudes. Feelings of rejection can consternate Pollyanna individuals.

This same Thursday Venus opposes Saturn that symbolizes the definition and clarification of these two planets that were last conjunct one another August 31, 2004 so these two dates can correspond to one another. This aspect is a “sobriety” test involving relationships, finances and values. Skittishness associated with issues of insecurity, instability and inadequacy can undermine the best well-laid plans. There can literally be a “frigid” partner whether physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually. Financial discipline is important to emphasize yet the negative expression can be that of the miser, the extreme penny pincher and the “scrooge”.

The final alignment for this Thursday is the Pre-Shadow Point degree position of Neptune that refers to the degree position of Neptune’s upcoming station direct of October 26, 2005. This date in January can correspond to the October date. This degree position of Neptune is associated with worldwide health concerns and especially that the tsunami tragedy of Asia can have many repercussions of devastating diseases and plagues can overwhelm valuable resources. Neptune being a very spiritual planet can symbolize our collective ability to utilize prayer, visualization and affirmation that divine assistance brings a sense of unity, wholeness and integration of our positive thoughts to this heavily impacted area of our mother planet. Keywords for this degree position are: The sacredness of the collective heart opens up avenues of tenderness, compassion and true charity that can be activated in infinite and definitive acts. There is a predisposition to act in a linear, purposively and constructive way yet alternate paths and innovative solutions break what easily could fall into a rut or routine. The collective imagination comes to the rescue.

Friday the 28th two celestial conjunctions occur with the first one being that of Mars with Pluto that can symbolize the “seeding” period of these two planets. These two planets will oppose one another on April 8, 2006 and the more conscious expressions will be witnessed then. These two planets in the sky together symbolize the fusion of power, intense drives, assertiveness, aggressiveness, sharing, merging, bonding, sexuality, secrecy, investments, penetration, probing, psychology, research, investigations, detective work and espionage. Negative expressions are violations, oppression, aggression, terrorism, power plays, power games, rape, murder, poisoning, executions, extreme willfulness and oligarchy to name a few.

The second conjunction on this Friday is that of Mercury with Chiron that can symbolize healthy communications that bridge gaps especially in business, career matters and success in general. This is the “seeding” of these two heavenly objects and their opposition to one another will occur on June 29, 2005 so these dates can correspond to one another.

Saturday the 29th at 11:37pm is the entrance of fleet-footed Mercury into the sign of Aquarius for an approximate 2-week journey. Some modern astrologers consider Mercury in Aquarius as its sign of exaltation. Advances in science, technology and engineering are suitable during this Mercury passage. Aquarius is a sign of intuition through the realms of knowledge so any bursts of insight and future visions that one can experience can eventually become a reality. Teenagers can also become more rebellious than usual and will definitely test boundaries that apparently challenge their innate sense of freedom and independence. Aquarius symbolizes emotional detachment, whether positive or negative, therefore dialogue that fosters impartiality and objectivity is the key to successful communications.

Sunday the 30th is a rare third declinational shift of the Moon that symbolizes changes with meteorological, seismic and volcanic activities. Personal issues that can arise involve a partner that is exhibiting shocking and unusual behaviors due to issues of abandonment and neglect.
